so i bought three evod tanks to go with my ego c twist and im planning on having the three tanks in rotation. i wanna keep rotating the tanks every day and then after a week clean all three tanks but im worried that by doing that, the liquids are going to gunk up my coils. is it safe to rotate them like that for a week and then clean them all at once or should i be cleaning the old tank everytime i switch to another one?

Depends on the juice your using. If it is a thick liquid that might be a problem. Are you going to keep using the same juice in the same tanks?

Again it depends on your juice if you switch from Strawberry to Blueberry then you really don't need to clean the tank a simple rinse will do. If you go from a menthol or tobacco to a desert or fruit. Then some heavy duty cleaning is needed. You might want to keep a coil just for menthol or tobacco even after you cleaned it.

so if im going from fruit to fruit i dont really need to clean the coil? desert juices are alot darker so im assuming i should be cleaning them alot more often the fruit juices and stuff?

Pretty soon you will have dozens of tanks... we all do. I have 30+ all filled with different flavors, sitting in a nice little stand. you can rotate as many tanks as you want. the coil only fails the more you use it, unless you have a real coil gunker like Nicoticket beetlejice. As you find more flavors you like, you will want more tanks to keep them in. if you keep your eyes out, you can get tanks really cheap. evods under $5, mini protank 3s around $6. 101vape sells protank 2s @ $8.99. it's easier to have more tanks than to change flavors in a tank.

I rotated 3 evods when I was using clearos.
I kept filling them with the same juice though. I'd rinse them out a few times a week - good solid rinse with scolding hot water, fill it up half way, close it off and shake the crap out if it, empty fill a bit again then blow water through the head. I was .... about it. Probably completely unnecessary. One thought would be to just keep a large class or Tupperware container with water in it and disassemble the tank and chuck it in there to soak until you come back for a full wash.

I don't have tons of tanks. I've only run about three at a time at most. Now my collection of RDAs is getting bigger. I have 5 or so, and use 3 daily, in addition to my kayfun on two different mods.. One for coffee in the morning, two on two different mods for switching flavors through out the day (not exclusively one flavor per dripper, but I try to stick to complementary flavors) and my kayfun for driving.
Everyone does things differently, just find out what works for you!

thats what im doing too im using the same juice for about a week in each tank. if im doing it this way how often should i clean the coils? it would include a thorough dry burn too. i can wash each tank out when the liquid has finished but im not sure what to do with the coil

You only have to clean the coil when it tastes burnt. I have a few tanks here I haven't touched for at least a month, maybe more. If I picked one of them up right now, it would vape. Go by taste, if the flavor changes, if it tastes burnt, change the coil. U may be overthinking it, when we are new @ this, we worry about things too much. I did.

I ALWAYS keep that coil & attempt to clean it. I rinse the coil under extremely hot water, then I put a coffee cup of water into the microwave & boil it. I put the coils I am attempting to save in that cup over night & take them out in AM & let them dry.

If your going from fruit to fruit it should overpower fairly quick. If your going from menthol or something strong then clean the coil. I clean my coil when it's tasting burnt or not getting much vapor.

I did a good rince every 2 tanks with thick juice (high vg / dark liquid) and 4 tanks with light (2 or 4 tanks meaning I run 2 or 4 tanks of juice through a single atty).
Some soak their heads in high alcohol vodka over night and say that they last longer, but I never tried it.

It really does depend on the liquids in question. I mostly use the same three flavors three flavors in three clearomizers (Davides and Mini Protanks) and I just keep adding liquid until either the flavor or the draw degrades. In my case that is a couple of days for a menthol tobacco, about a week for an English toffee, and close to two weeks for the Earl Grey tea. These are single coil Kanger compatible coils, usually about 2.2 ohms, the same in all three. I've also had fruit flavors vape well for over a week on the same coil.

When they do start having problems I clean them thoroughly and can usually do that two or three times before I have to replace them. I do use a fairly low wattage setting on iTaste VV v3s and MVPs. YMMV

Some flavors, u will sometimes never get the flavor out of them, like a strong menthol. Just had Jerry Juice from Steam Juice, the cinnamon stuck in the coil & in the tank -- an aerotank mega. Couldn't believe it. Had to use soap & water & soak the tank.
arent they around $30+ ? probably took a while to clean..i wash mine fairly regularly to avoid any liquid sticking to the tank since i dont know when il be able to get more tanks

if i go through one tank of a particular flavor and want to change flavours is there any point to cleaning out the coil? how long should i expect my coils to last if im cleaning them thoroughly with a dry burn atleast once a week?

Depends on what your changing to. How long does a tank last you? A day 2 days? How long will they last? Depends on the juice you are vaping and what temp also the pg vg ratio. I got 2 weeks before needing to clean one coil on a tank. Another which was thicker juice it lasted less than a week before it needed to be cleaned. My coils have lasted a month and still going strong with cleaning. When you lose flavor or vapor that is also a good sign your coils need to be cleaned.
