Hey everyone. A week strong. No smokes. Im loving vaping yet Im having some issues I could use some help with.
A quick rundown of what Im using to help.

Ego C Twist with either a Smoktech 4ml tank, CE3 bottom coil clearos ("firebirds"), Smoktech ("Rejuvenators)" 1.7 ohm, E2 Uvo tank with LR or SR cart. (cant remember what I started with).

Im having troubles with finding a decent vape for more than 5 to 10 minutes without the burning taste. Im still trying to learn about what ohm value to use and to what voltage as well. I have to fiddle with the VV every 2 to 3 pulls to get something that works.

I tried the Smoktech 2.0 atty's today and have the perfect draw, TH, vape that you would expect. I love dripping but dont want to be stuck to it alone of course.

All liquids are VG so far ( I think ).

I want to make another order but need help on what Im doing wrong or what might be better. If this is too vague I can elaborate more.

Thanks for reading

Somewhere out there
Lower your volts. If you use LR carto/clearo etc you use low Volts. SR resistance you can up your volts but not by too much, stay in the lower range and you will have less burning. Especially with clearos, cartos are a bit more forgiving. I use a 2 ohm LR clearo tank at 3.2, the very lowest setting on an ego. Have fun! bnrk

The firebirds for sure need pretty thin juices to work, vg on its own is too thick for them.
I gave up on the firebirds for me because I like vg juices. I couldn't get them to work reliably unless I use really thin stuff. Wich I usually don't.
Vgs work fine in cartos like your smoktecs. That's a good choice if you stick to vg juices.
I havent used your other clearos but I suspect thick juices are giving your burn tastes.
I use a vivi nova mini with vg juice, but I have to thin the juice with water to avoid the dry burn. Then it works fantastic.

Thanks bnrk. I have used the lowest setting. 3.2 on the twist and still I can taste that burnt flavour. And at that voltage I get next to near no vape or TH. Perhaps the VG is too thick for what Im using?

Ah, I just saw what a rejuvinator is. It takes a lot of juice to fill those, it might just not be full enough.

How much would you say, guessing of course. Today was the first time trying them and I slowly filled it at a 45 degree angle let it set and refilled. Should I continue till I see it at the top of the cotton? I seemed to use a fair bit of juice and still got burning from the first pull.

Sorry audio, I edited after posting, I was getting my products all mixed up in my head. I initially thought these were those huge fat cartos.

Sometimes I find with thick vg the juice doesn't always saturate the filler all the way to the bottom. In addition to filling from the top, I fill from the bottom to to make sure the filler is all wet everywhere. I think there is a youtube video on filling a carto with the "condom method" this is what I mean by filling from the bottom.

Once it's all saturated, there is no problem topping it off afterwards.

Also, sometimes you end up with a bad carto that is buggered from the factory and will always burn . I was just swearing at one an hour ago.

Im scared of trying too many cartos, clearos, etc... without lots of backups. I was swearing a few times today as well as I was showing my bro a new clearo. Didn't work as I thought. So I went to a cart for the first time. It was worse. I know Im not the first to have these issues and Im sure after many hours and dollars I will get it.

Sounds like your juice is what's not flowing fast enough. You probably hit a device that's been sitting and after a few hits it's just not flowing quick enough. I love CE3's but as mentioned you want to stick with a thinner juice. I am currently using a 5ml tank with a single coil 3ohm carto in it and vaping at 5V. 50/50 blend and it's perfect. But everyone is different. A vivi nova is nice for getting rich flavors and good vapor production. I have a bunch of cartos for those days when I am having issues and just don't wanna fiddle.

Thx smitighe. So before jumping if I was to order a 50/50 mix it would help? I have no allergies as I hear many do to the PG. I will buy the vivi on my next order. (Something I wanted before anyways). I was really looking at the Smoktech stubby as I really want to try a Lavatube.

Gotta figure out the juices first though. Man I sound less and less knowledgable as I post.

I remember getting a smoktec tank carto the first week I started. I though it looked so badar$e I couldn't wait to use it. Took the drip tip off, dropped some juice on the filler, filled the tank, screwed it on and BURN. I learned later that I didn't soak the filler enough, and that the pre-drilled holes were too small to allow thick juice to enter from the tank. ( another thing, you may have to make the holes bigger, just remembered that 0)
It's a learning curve thing.

Get off the pure VG! There is nothing magical about pure VG or pure PG ,or whatever. My favourite ADV is a proprietary mix that I have no idea of it's PG/VG mix

Check out ECF to see what others are vaping, and consider to be a good product. Taste may vary, but generally the quality of a product is consistently recognized. In every PBusardo video, he starts with the overlay "taste is subjective" and it is soooooo true. Juggy makes good "joose", and I frequent him often, but maybe pure VG is not for you!?

Whatever you do, DO NOT give up on vaping!! There is a big old world of juice out there, and I'm sure you will find the magical elixir :)

I be honest I have never had a single issue with my 50/50 blend. I've tried others and come right back to it. I got it in my vivi, a tank with a single coil and my CE3's and they all perform wonderfully. I just ordered a sample pack of juice that I have heard great reviews on so I am gonna try to branch out again. And don't feel like you haven't any knowledge. I was in the same boat and I asked lots of questions and watched lots of YouTube. I feel I have obtained quite a bit in the 3 months I've been at it. My next venture is giving rebuildables a shot. I like options but I also like tinkering. Keep up with the trail and error and you will find your "go to" set up. Good luck.

Try the Vivi Nova - I find that device is pretty consistent in flavour, ease of use, ease of cleaning, etc and haven't had any issues with leaks other than when I accidently unscrewed the bottom of the tank rather than the tank itself from my Twist and lost a good amount of juice. User error ... not the device. If you've got the short wicks, you will need to tip/turn when you're halfway through the tank ... but that becomes a bit of a habit, so it isn't really a pain in the .....

I didn't like the Stardusts the first time I tried them (version 2 or 3 I think), but they have grown on me. I think that there's a bit more of a break in time for them for the flavour. I still prefer the vivis though.

I've tried the bottom coil phoenix/firebirds (the ones you fill with a syringe) and sometimes get a burnt taste - I think I had the voltage too high and once I got that burnt taste it didn't seem to want to leave. My main issue with them is that you can't switch out juices in them (or at least I don't). They are good for taste tests ... about 1.5ml of juice gives you a pretty good idea of whether I want to fill up a 3ml tank and vape it for a day or two. Or I just keep refilling them with the same juice if its something I like but don't want to vape all the time.

Juggy's modded Smoketechs are pretty good, but I've had some leakage, so I don't like to travel with them just in case they decide to leak in my knapsack or on my desk at work.

I vape mostly VG (because the flavours I like are VG) and haven't had much of an issue with it in these devices.

I love the vivi. Great flavor, vapor production, ability to use on all different mods and voltages. I only had one issue with it tho. It may of just been the one I got but it is shorting on me it I screw it all the way down. I have to back off a thread or two. So I use on my twist with a collar and lock it in. So I improvised. Works good that way. Can't beat the flavor unless you go rebuildable
