Hcigar Caravela, Can't Assembly

Hey there!

I just got my first mech mod in the mail, an hcigar clone of the Caravela.
I'm trying to assembly the button but they just wont fit together..


I'm trying to scre the silver piece onto the top brass piece but it just wont screw on.
I am trying to assembly it the proper way, right? Or am I just really lost right now?

So I'm trying to screw the stainless piece into the brass piece, witch the picture shows but it just wont fit. It feels like it gets in the track but then pops out of it.
Have anyone else had this problem? What do I do now?

Hi, that seems to be correct, it is the locking ring and should thread where you indicate. As seen in this assembled pic:

Yeah that's what I thought, just woundering why it isn't..
This is exactly the type of stuff that can really bug my nerves

Might be some machining burrs left on the threads that prevent the parts from screwing together. One other thing, you do know it has reverse threading (left hand) so that when you lock/ unlock you don't tighten or loosen the whole switch.

You do know that your stainless locking ring has reverse theads ....... screws into the brass base backwards (counter-clockwise)

Watched a bunch of reviews but most of them wouldn't even disassemble the button. Didn't see anything regarding the threading in the specs either.
