HCigar Hammer Mod + Aga-t7 Atty

I started vaping about 2 weeks ago and I have to say I'm hooked. I bought a mod right away. I have the Ehpro Caravela in black with the Kayfun Lite Plus in black as well and they're great as I'm sure most of you already know. I must have literally watched 20+ YouTube vids and I know how to rebuild atomizers already. It's really a great hobby. Anyway, As I keep digging deeper into the world of vaping and moding, I'm already planning my next setup. I just wanted to get some feedback on the hcigar Hammer mod. I love the way it looks and I like how it has that sort of "pipe" look to it. I was thinking of getting that along with the brand new Youde Aga-t7 atty to go with it. Any thoughts on either? Has anyone built this combo? How is the HCigar Hammer mod by itself? I can't wait to try the aga-t7 either way. They're calling it the kayfun killer. Let me know what you think and any pros and cons. Cheers.

Yea same here. It's cool that it fits a few different battery sizes also. Im thinking I'm gonna go with the 18500 battery. I have 650s now and it seems like they'd be too long. The hammer with the 500s looks awesome in pics I've seen. I'm sure it's gonna hit like a hammer with that new aga-t7 atty. I'm so stoked to try it out. It's dual-coiled and very similarly resembles a dripper. I can imagine the clouds I'm gonna get out of that bad boy!

Depending on how you build your coils, you will want to stay with 18650.

I'm not recommending that you sub-ohm, but if you plan on going that way, you will likely want the higher discharge amps that go with the 18650. If you lightly sub-ohm (0.6 - 0.9 ohm), then any 10 amp battery will do; but you might miss the larger capacity (mAh) of an 18650.

The AGA-T7 has become my daily tank. I prefer RDA's overall, but tanks are generally necessary. As far as KF killer goes, it really has become a different audience. For those that like their dual-coil drippers, the Aqua and Fogger V4 could be considered KF killers. A lot of people still love their KF's though, especially at higher ohms on a VV/VW mod.

The highlights of the T7 are that it's easy to build on, solid construction, can go dual or single coil easily, and has a great price (~$30) for an original RTA. The downside is that it is a pain to fill and you pretty much need a syringe with metal needle to do it without flooding.

IMO, you can do more interesting builds on the T7 than the KF, Aqua, Fogger, etc; though a lot of people just do the horizontal coils crossed over each other.

Side By Side Vertical Coils

Hope that helps

Thanks. That actually helps a lot. I plan to not go less than a
.7-.8ohm resistance. I'm going to use the side by side vertical coil build. That way there is nice even airflow right in between them. I've never built a dual coil before but I like experimenting. I've only built single coil on my KF. I'm new to this. Are there any 18500s that would be safe with a .7-8 resistance? I really would like to use the smaller battery for the feel and looks of it but I won't if I risk it blowing or melting my face off.

Yep.

The short version of battery safety is to find the max continuous discharge rate of your battery and use that in a ohm's law calculator. Use 4.2 volts as the voltage and the discharge rate as the amps (unless it says 2c or similar). In this case, the resistance is 0.28 ohms; this is the lowest you should go with that battery.

I could be wrong, but I think that 15 amps is the burst or pulse rate. I can't find a reference, but you will be more than fine at 0.7+ ohms.

Dual coils are easy, just remember that you are splitting the resistance across coils. This means that to target 0.7 ohms for the circuit, you need to build each coil at 1.4 ohms.

Good luck and happy vapes :)
