Sorry, can't help you find a new base but can suggest soaking your base in Everclear overnight or giving it a dunk in boiling water to try and free up that valve.

After about a month of using my hcigar kayfun the valve started to dribble at random times. I soaked the base in hot water then injected Everclear through the valve opening to clean it out....solved the problem. Figure because yours is stuck open an overnight soak would probably do the trick.

Or if you can't fix it with the method twolostminds suggested, just seal off the valve and top fill instead. That's what I did with one of my Kayfuns that arrived without the ball in the fill valve. I just got a small screw with the head that was the same size as the channel used for the fill valve. Covered the threads of the screw with PTFE tape and screwed it snugly into the fill valve channel. I've been using it for about 3 months now, no leaks at all. As long as you know how to do the top fill method, it works like a charm. Thought I'd try this, cos I didn't fancy sending the atty back to China :)

Thanks for the feedback.

I tried the soaking and it didn't work. Will try to seal it off.

You could just try tapeing off the hole if you haven't got a screw that will fit. Won't do much for the aesthetics, but at least you'll be able to use it

LOL. I have another 3.1 and a kfl + so I'm not without.

To be honest that's what I thought when mine arrived without the ball in the fill valve. I figured if I did screw it up sealing it up, I'd only paid a few dollars for it and I had plenty of back ups :D

Hope it works out for you anyway.

A dab of super glue in the hole works too.

I've also read of people using a needle to stick in to the hole on the deck (where the juice goes in to the tank) and trying to free up the ball.

I had tried that several times the night before last with no luck but last night after a bit voila I heard a snap and here came the ball.

The ball had got stuck in the spring causing it to wedge back in the channel. This may help others having trouble filling their (I had trouble with this one). I had taken everything apart the night before and pulled one ball out after the screw and donut ring. I just thought that there was suppose to be two of them.

But when I went to put it back together last night I thought that that doesn't make sense so I put together just using one and now the thing works great.

Hindsight what caused the problem was it having two instead of one causing the one to get pushed to far in the channel and wedging in the spring.

Anyway, now none of my mechs have to be without a topper. :)

Glad you got it sorted out :D
