My hcigar Nemesis clone is not firing. Im not sure what Im doing wrong. Battery is inserted correctly with the negative at the bottom. I charged my battery on a Nitecore i4. I have siglei kick installed with the adjustable wattage on top. I just ordered a multimeter and dont have it yet. Need some help. Im using a kanger aerotank. I just ordered a ehpro kayfun lite plus.

First thing you do is remove the top cap. Then mount the kanger on the top cap, and then screw the contact pin in until it makes contact with the kanger.

Then install the top cap & kanger on the tube above your worthless version of the Kick. (next time get a Kick-2) Install the battery, and use the switch to adjust for battery length.

    Judgmental much?
I have 2, bought before the K2 was released - Both never give a minutes problem. If Sigelei had not released their version, K2 may never have come about :D They would just keep selling an over priced out dated piece:glare:

Always start with the Basics -
    Tube/battery/topper
    Make adjustments to the mod
If everything works, then add the kick and test

Clean ALL contacts often to keep everything working smoothly

Not sure on the fuse. I do know that the clone kicks are kinda iffy on working.

    From experience?
I have 6 Kick Clones and all of them work - 2 sigelei and 4 no name Fasttech versions - never a problem

You cannot run a battery inverted and use the kick - it will be destroyed. Kick MUST GO to the battery plus side.

Is this your first time using a mechanical mod and kick?

Some adjusting may be required to get proper contact with all parts
Kick MUST make a clean ground connection to inside of Tube(Clean metal)

    Not really.
I talked to Brandon when the clones first showed up. He gave/sold them the design of the Kick-1 because the Kick-2 was ready for release. If you look at the first Sigelei's, they even had the Evolv graphics on their ckt. boards.

For the OP; the difference is that the Kick-1 was a "power booster" only, meaning that they are unregulated until the battery voltage became less than what is required to provide the desired wattage. (this is also why I don't care for DNA chip sets)
The Kick-2 will adjust the voltage both up & down to meet the desired wattage. The one downside is that you can't measure the output with a volt meter. If you put the Kick-2 on a scope the output appears as reverse polarity.

The build in my Kayfun for example only needs 3.5v for my desired wattage (1.25 ohms @ 10 watts = 3.5v). So with a kick-1 the output would be to hot until the battery was depleted to 3.5v. I would need to up the resistance to about 1.5 ohms before the kick-1 had the ability to provide 10 watts with a fresh battery.

Well, you may have gotten a dud. Hard to tel by your cryptic post.(minimal info)
I put the nipple on the negative side of the battery. It works.
    ??

I'd suggest you hit both Kick contacts with fine sandpaper to scuff/clean and same on the Ground pin. A quick turn inside the tube would help to insure contact too.
Wipe clean with Isopropyl Alcohol afterward.
