Hcigar russian clone leak

I just purchased the hcigar Russian clone it is leaking out the airhole if I turn it upside down it leaks out the drip tip anyone know possible cause ?

Also where can plastic tips to fill thru the fill hole be purchased locally ?

Sounds like the oring in the tank top cap that seals the chimney is either missing or damaged.

I just took it apart to give it another bath and the Oring wasn't seated properly hopefully that fixes it. I originally thought it was from top filling. Would that cause it to leak out the air hole as well ?

Yes, a leak at the small oring will not let the tank hold the vacuum that is created in the tank when you inhale. Without this vacuum, the unwicked juice will not be drawn back into the tank after the inhale is stopped. After a few inhales the juice on the lower deck will build up to the level of the air hole under the coil and flow into the air chamber and out the air intake hole.
The juice flows into the lower deck and the unused juice is pulled back into the tank each time you take a vape when the system is working as designed. A video was posted in the "Kayfun Lite" thread tonight showing a clear tank and chimney on a Kayfun being used and it shows the system working like I described.

ok its not leaking, but i'm getting a completely different taste from this than the protank

Describe what is different in the taste. Is it better or worst?

Thats just it , I'm not sure its just different and the flavor is either muted or too strong

I wouldn't say I like it but it's not awful i'm hoping its partly due to the cotton being new.

The other thing I noticed is when I top filled it to the top of the glass it was under it after turning it around and sealing it can I fill it higher than the top of the glass if top filling ?

Did you thoroughly clean it? The airhole can hold machine oil, even after you think you cleaned it well. Are you getting dry hits? Did you boil your cotton?

Did the liquid expand after you fixed oring?

I soaked it over night and I never boil my cotton nor did I for my protank heads. everything is the same except the kanthal wire itself he built me a coil at purchase and I used that.

As far as the air hole having oil I think I leaked enough juice to push any out lol.

That thing should vape and taste soooooo much better than a Protank.

Try a build with a micro, and it sounds like you may have too much cotton packed over or in wick wells.

I don't top fill, but the expansion may be from the vacuum created in your tank.. don't think the vacuum is that good in tanks, but no way to measure and it's somewhat logical. That's why I asked if it did that after oring fix.
