I received an HDSmoke for Christmas. I like it so far but I noticed the cartomizers available are kind of expensive, not much less than regular cigs if you ask me...so I would like to continue to use this new ecig...I was give about 10 cartomizers already filled that go with the HDSmoke as part of the gift. I am thinking each one will last me about a day. I would like to find cheaper already filled cartomizers but cant find the type of battery this is. The website states they are compatible with other cartomizers but they are about the same costs. Does anyone know what type of cartomizer I can use, if I can just buy a blank one and fill it with ejuice? What size I would purchase? Thanks for the help!! This is day two for me so if I want to keep on smoking these things I want to find a cheaper way of doing it, as of now its only would save approximately $20.00 a week...and for a full flavor cig...Id rather pay the extra $20.00...Im not upgrading by the way...want to keep with this...if I can...Thank you!

not sure what threading the hdsmoke is but you can get some blank cartomizers and a few bottlres of juice a fill them yourself. 1 boge cartomizer lasted 4 weeks and would have kept going if i didnt drop the ecig thing. ccv has 3 boxes of boge cartos for 20$ and fyi 1 filled cartos wnt last you all day unless you take a few drags a hr.

coticoto, those are 510 carto's on your e-cig. There are many forum suppliers that sell those filled or blank. Wow! $25 for a pack of 5 from hdsmokes--you can def. do better. I personally don't use carto's, but you should get a lot of feedback from ECF members that will point u in the right direction.

cheers,

Spend some time here on the forum and read what others are saying--it will go a long way. While you will get a lot good personal advice, still spend the time researching the threads. It will take some experimentation to find what works best for you. I've been smoke free for over a year and wouldn't consider smoking again. Good luck into your journey of vaping. You will find the people here are the best and will go out of their way to help.

cheers,:toast:

p.s. I knew it was a 510 by looking at it, plus the site also says it in small print.:)

I can't believe how badly they try rape you. $25 for 5 cartos. You can get blank boge 5 packs for $7.99 and 50ml of juice for $14 and that will last way longer. Some companies really take advantage of the people who don't research 1st. Well stick around the forums there's plentys of people here to help. If it were me I'd stay away from a company like that and look into somthing different if there's nothing else compatible.

Refilling cartomizers are terrible and they dont last and taste like hdsmokes cartomizers. Buying bottles and filling them yourself is crap, you will see what i am talking about once you try it.

/QUOTE]

I'm sorry, but that's a total load of crap. Refilling cartos is extremely easy to do, and your right they don't taste like the hdsmoke cartos, their alot better. Prefilled cartos are not only expensive, but also only give you very few options. Buying blank cartos allows you to use the 1000s of awesome juices available and is a LOT cheaper. Also you can buy cartos that are alot better and will last alot longer than any Prefilled carto.

I'd definitely try to find catros someplace cheaper. Either site is way overpriced and severely limiting in nicotine levels and flavors. $100 for 25 cartomizers is a rip off. If they're 510 thread you cvan get empty ones for half that price and fill your own. 8 flavors and maxed out at 16mg isn't much variety.

It also gets me that they all like to say that one cartomizer is equal to 1 1/2 packs of analogs (as if you can get all the liquid out of a carto by vaping). That would only be true if you could ingest the nicotine. Vaping liquids and that seems about half of what's actually absorbed. Most folks here are vaping about 3ml/day and that would be like 'smoking' 3-4 packs a day. And lots of folks vaping over 16 mg/ml liquid, some twice that level.

Since 510 threading has become the most common connection, it just makes sense to go for that setup. Either get the 510 batts + charger. It's as thin as a real cig, just a bit longer. If you don't mind a slightly bigger setup, get an Ego 650 mah. Point here is, you'll save money in the long run compared to disposables like HDSmoke. Can you imagine buying one pre-filled carto for $6 each time you run out?

Wow! I have never had problems with cartos and lots of folks here use them. They are really easy to use, have decent flavor, and are pretty inexpensive. I don't follow Georgina's post at all? I see she has only 1 post and though I have to give her the benefit of the doubt, trying to help, look around the site and you will see way more positive posts regarding the cartos.

Good luck to you and you can certainly do better ($$$) than your present choice. Just my 2 cents...

You don't have to give her the benefit of the doubt--please see my previous post. In addition, there are volumes of info on ECF that contradict her statement on carto's...as well as my own personal experience.

So what are they? Please tell.

cheers,
That's what I've tried to find out myself just to make use of the battery. I have 510 cartos. No match. What I'm saying is if the cartos are non-standard, it doesn't make sense to continue with that setup as it will cost you more in the long run. Get the ones with 510 connectors.

I received an email from hdsmokecigs and they confirm they use 510's. They also claim the 510 carto's they use are made in the U.S. as opposed to all others that are made in China--really?

cheers,

Holly Cow Wow! A US made cartomizer? WHERE??? I sure don't see one. Okay, all joking aside, they are 510 and Boge is the preferred brand to get. Don't go under 3.0ohm for those small batteries.

If upgrading is something that might interest you later, try and eGo kit. Bigger battery and will last longer between charges. Also, all the hardware you currently have, will work on the eGo's. Just a suggestion....
