Well, the hand to mouth, inhale and exhale can be helpful, but if what you are vaping is making you ill yes, you should stop vaping what you are vaping. I don't understand the whole boiled cotton thing, and pure VG is hard to vape. I'd dilute it with 10% water (are you using flavorings?) and I'd probably buy cotton and VG from a safer source, like a vape establishment, so that you know it's pure and safe for vaping.
How much are you vaping, that can end up being an issue, if you're vaping too much. You also could consider diluting with PG, some folks find VG in large amounts causes a heavy feeling in their lungs.
I'd recommend completely changing what you vape-- in the sense of using pure, reliable ingredients, and not max VG.
Most importantly if it persists, see a doctor.
