Hey all,

i'm a fairly new vaper, and haven't had any issues with vaping, till now.

i bought a fizzy cola liquid. kinda tastes like those cola sweets. when i take a deep lung hit, or chain vape that juice, i get a pain in the sinus area across the bridge of the nose (kinda like a brain freeze). I've compiled a list of things that i know are NOT the cause.

1) Nicotine level: the juice is 6mg. I've had other 6mg and higher (up to 24mg) juices with no problems.
2) VP/PG ratio: The juice is PG 60/ VG 40. I've had higher PG and higher VG juices with no problems.
3) Dehydration: i know vaping can be dehydrating. so i make sure to drink lots of water. and as mentioned before, no issues with other juices.

Ingredients stated on the juice is:
- PG 60%, VG 40%
- Natural and Artificial flavorings
- Nicotine USP/EP

Long story short, only that particular juice gave me problems. no other juices I've tried have that effect on me.

i was wondering, with the wealth of knowledge the experienced vapers have here, are there any ingredients used in e liquids that can potentially cause headaches? So that i may avoid those ingredients.

Thanks in advance, and Merry Christmas! :)

My guess would be something used to flavor that particular juice. It sucks but you may just want to avoid that juice. I know how you feel though... one of my favourites is a cola bottle candy flavor from a local place and it causes anything in the tank, like grommets and o-rings to expand and that really ruins your day. I've never had that problem with any other juice even ones from that store. So I just avoid it even it is delicious. The plus side is that there's tons of different companies that make similar flavors, and I've found one that tastes the same but doesn't ruin tank parts.
Good luck though!
