Headache....?

Hi guys,

thanks to you all for all the info on here.

I started using my APL A580 a bit yesterday. Not very much. Just getting a taste for it etc....

Is it just coincidence that i got a banging headache last night?

The headache can be cause by a few things...you over vaped...your nic is too high...or the pg is bothering you (allergy). Try vaping less or lowering your nic down. If that doesn't help, go to 100% VG juice and see how that works for you.

If you are new to this, it can be nicotine withdraw symptoms.

Well i don't think it gonna be withdrawal symptoms as like i said, i was only trying it a bit to get used to the taste. I was stil smoking as well.

As for too high a nic content... could be. I only smoke 10 GV rollies a day. So would 18mg juice be too strong? Bearing in mind i only had a few drags now and then.

18mg with occasional puffs is not the likely problem. It was either the PG content of your juice or a coincidence. Some folks the PG dosent agree with and have to use mostly or all VG juices. and it could have been another factor. if you get it 2 nights in a row from trying the ecig then Its probably the PG.

I second this... I had the same problem when I started vaping. Up your fluids and see if that helps.

Most common cause of vaping headache is nicotine - vaping too much in too short a time for the level of nicotine you have. Vape less often or use lower nicotine. And if you were vaping and smoking, that can also cause too much nicotine.

Less likely -

Dehydration - you weren't vaping long enough to get dehydrated

Automatic batteries - dragging these can cause a headache. Get manual batteries which are less strain on your facial muscles - press the button in 1-2 seconds early and good vapor will be waiting when you start your drag, drag slowly, let up button right before the end of your drag, finish drag and inhale.

Allergy to PG - unlikely since it's used in hospitals and in all kinds of things but possible

The larger size of the end of the ecig, or biting on the hard end of the ecig

Of course if you just puffed on it a few times it's not likely it was your PV causing it. If you get a headache every night then you will have to adjust accordingly. I'm pretty much a chain vaper and the only time I get a headache is from nicotine overdose. I've cured that problem by waiting a bit between puffs.

Well i got no headache last night, but i probably did use it a bit less than the day before.

Perhaps it was just coincidense.

I'll try it a bit more today and see how i get on.

Well I've been using it quite a bit more today, with no headache. Happy days!

Even used it a couple of times instead of having an analogue!!

Max has it right you deff need to make sure that you get enough water. if you've ever had a hangover you know that a little water before bed will keep them away and vaping dries the head out the same way hope it helps
