Hi, I was a smoker 2 years ago and moved over to vaping. I used a cheap vape stick and a cheap tank which was 2.2 ohms. The battery that I used to power the tank was also small and cheap and needed charging 2 times a day. I used to chain vape it and the liquid I used was 90pg and 18mg nicotine strength. I had no issues.

So anyway I decided to treat myself and buy a istick 30 watts and a kanger minisub tank. So when it arrived I try it on eliquid 50pg /50vg 12mg nicotine strength, my sub mini was on 0.5 ohms. Anyway I tried it and it made me feel sick. So keeping everything the same I decided to switch to 6mg felt better but was staarting to get headaches. So I've now gone down to 3mg using 1.2 ohms kanger coil head. Now I'm still getting headaches and it's bad and last they the whole day. I don't know what to do. The ratio of pg/vg is about 50/50 at 3mg. The elquid I'm using is a one Pound cheap elquid. Feel like giving up vaping? I was really keen on building my own coils I even bought some kanthal wire and cotton. Can anybody explain what could be going one? These headaches are getting really annoying?

There's way more vapor coming out of the subtank, especially with an istick powering it. More vapor means it's more dehydrating to vape. Try drinking more water. That usually helps with the headaches. 9 times out of 10 when I get a headache after vaping a bit I realize I forgot to keep up with the liquid intake.

I suggest you increase your water intake.

Glycerin is a bit more effective humectant than PG, and you've increased vapor production significantly. You're losing more water now. I suffer from cluster headaches (a type of migraine), and staying well-hydrated is important in reducing vascular headache symptoms.

I agree with the others, drink more water and lower your nic. The more efficient your setup the more nicotine you will be getting in a much shorter amount of time.

There are also some flavorings that can give headaches. There's a particular coffee I have that (while a fantastic vape) just gives me headaches if I vape it more than an hour. I mostly just use it to add coffee to my other flavors.

Try a different juice and going back to the PG/VG ratio that was working for you best. If that still doesn't work try to lower your PG to something like 80 VG/20 PG, to see if that's the problem. It's unfortunate and it's not the same for everybody but if one particular juice just doesn't agree with you its best to move on and find something better. The search is well worth it I promise!
