Heading to HD/Lowes for flashlights, need help

Ok, so I am hoping to make my first mod, using a flashlight.

I am wanting a single battery 3.7 device.

What, if anything, should i avoid?

What battery, and from where, should I get? Looking for a days worth of vaping out of it before needing a charge/battery swap.

Seedubxj go to big lots and look for a 4 pack of 1 aa battery flashlights I just picked some up this past weekend they are perfect for a 14500 battery and very easy to work with.They are the top ones in the pic.You will need to order batterys online (I can find they anywhere local)I get mine from mad vapes and get about 10-12 hours heavy vaping out of one charge.

The Lightsabre mod I made was from 2 flashlights. The first part of the Lightsabre is a flashlight which has a screw-on top to access the LEDs and the second part is the same as the bottom row of flashlights boomer posted.

The reason my flashlight mod is so big is because I'm using NiMh AAA batts... not the usual Lithium batts available.

Actually, the flashlights at the bottom of boomer's post has a 3 AAA battery holder already. You can always use rechargeable AAA batts to power your mod... you can also upgrade the flashlight mod by powering it with two 3v lithium batts to get 6volts.

Most Auto parts stores have LED flashlights but usually for $2 to $3 each.

They can be made as '....-Switched" mods and hold an 18650 protected cell.

That would probably last all day.

The problem with standard rechargeable batteries is they are 1.2 volts so even at full charge that's 3.6 volts too weak for any real vapor production.I have tried this and yes it works but not very well.Now if your use three 3.7 volts you need to build a vv.At this time I'm not selling them just having fun building,but if you need help building one we could help.What Rocketman said is true the 3 aaa lights will hold the bigger battery I just prefer the small 1 aa lights and change the battery each night is fine with me.Fernis is also right about using 2 3 volts but 6 volts is a very hot vapor most don't enjoy.

By the way here is what one of my 1 aa lights look like.The click click switch on the bottom of the light is the master on off and the small tact switch is the fire switch.

Back from my trip, and this seemed to be the closest thing I could find. Took it all apart and now this is what I've got.

What type/size battery can I use, give the size of the 3xAAA pack it currently holds?

18500 should be an easy fit.

A 18650 would fit easy or with all that room in the top put 3 10440's and a vv chip like a ti pt08100 or a okr chip it would be really easy with that light.

I second that, no reason to use the basically useless 14500 (maybe 600 true mAh) when an 18500 fits just right in the torches I've built.

Probably could have fit an 18650 in this one, but an 18500 made the build much easier, and the button placement more aesthetically pleasing.

Gave me room (and easy wiring) with the deep drip well. Being eGo atty/carto ready is also a nice touch.

The well gave the end a nice finished look also.

They had these slightly longer torches at HomeDepot.

What I need is a step by step tutorial...preferrably with pictures. When it comes to electrical stuff, I'm a blasted idiot. I'd like to build a flashlight mod with VV. I want something bigger so it'll fit my large hands. I'm pretty good with a soldering iron, but not so good at knowing which wire to put where.

Also, how do you go about putting a 510 connector on the end of it and make it fit into the cap all flush like. I don't have metal cutting skills or the tools to do so. Again, I'm a mechanical and electrical idiot. I want something like this in VV, but don't have the money to buy one pre-made...so the only answer left for me is to build one.

Do you have a dremel? That is a very handy tool for making stuff.
