Hey all,
I just wanted to report my experience with the kanger subtank mini. I've had it for a few weeks now and it was working fine. Recently it started to leak a little so naturally I thought it was operator error and maybe I spilled juice on it or something. Then overnight it was leaking heavily. It has been on my desk in my room since I bought it and no exposed to cold/hot weather extremes. After cleaning it up it still leaks all the time and now I don't even use it anymore. I picked up the Horizontech Arctic tank and so far so good! This is just my experience I'm not bashing Kanger's products. I hope this helps some thinking about purchasing.

I had the Same thing happen to me. Worked Great for Months. Then all of a sudden it started to leak No Matter how I wicked it. Figured it had to be one of the O-Rings that had gone Bad. So I dug out the Original Box and got out the Spare O-Rings.

I Had to Laugh when I saw that the O-Ring set had 3 O-Rings in it. And my Leaking STM only had 2. LOL!

Guess when I had Rinsed Out the Base that the O-Ring had come off and had gown Down the Drain.

Put the New O-Ring on the Base and it has Never Leaked Again.

Been vaping STMs since June and the only problem I've had with leaking was when I knocked over my mod with the tank on top and cracked the glass. It was a thin line, barely visible running vertically the length of the glass and it took me a while to find it. It was very slowly leaking, just enough that I didn't inspect it real hard, just making it a damp tank. Once I realized what was going on I vaped it dry and swapped the glass and have been right as rain since.

The STm's are one of the more leak resistant tanks out there. I use 2 on a daily basis, both with the v2 RBA, but I have also used the v1 RBA and the OCC heads, never had any leaking problems with any of them. I am not careful with my STm's either, they are constantly laying on their sides, still doesn't leak. I haven't used the vertical OCC's much, so I can't speak to their leak resistance.

The O-ring on the base of the subtank is easy to lose while cleaning or even filling. Unlike the other two O-rings you actually cannot see it when in is all together unless you know just where to look. It is pretty much hidden where the bottom of the glass meets the base. Unscrew the base and look at it as there should be an O-ring. If it is not there, that is the reason for the leaking.

I love the engineering of the STM. The O-rings are super thick, and particularly the bottom O-ring is wide enough to press against the entire thickness of the glass while being able to withstand a lot of use before showing any signs of wear, unlike other tanks that use those thin silicone O-rings. Using the v1 RBA, I haven't had any leaking, even during extreme temperature changes. Now, if I could just get used to lung-hitting...

I have a different manufacturer (Aspire) and so far, knock on wood, have not had any issues. I would go to the Kanger website and buy extra O-rings. Although none of my tanks leak, I've already purchased 10 new O-rings, and they are sitting here in their original package for when I need them.

Although I don't have a Kanger, there seem to be a great number who have them. It is possible that you have a defective O-ring. I would replace it and see what happens.
