Hands down one of the worst supposed "Medical" news presentations I've seen. What a mess this article is!
First and foremost, theres no peer review. Always, always, always look for peer reviewed bona fide studies including resources, study size, control groups, and more. A single opinion in any industry magazine whether health care or automobile care, is like a tuchus. Everyone has one. Verify!
The writing is so convoluted it's hilarious. We all know Vaporizors release vapor, not "smoke" as in combustibles. Submitting articles to any publication willing to accept them doesn't give them merit, or readability. No editing. Look at this sentence- "inhaling
e-cigarette smoke could be damaging neutrophils, the first line of defense in the human immune system. The findings
are important as previous research has shown that damage caused to neutrophil by cigarette smoking can lead to long-term lung damage"
WTH? OK either choose to write about damages caused by cigarette
"SMOKE" or choose to write about e-cigarette vapor emissions
.
Unfortunately the remainder of this article continues to obfuscate between
tobacco cigarettes and e-cigarettes. It's not only in the misuse of the wording for vapor, but a deliberate comparison in terms of supposed, yet undocumented health risks.
Im an ardent supporter of CASAA, I won't change my opinion over choice in re published articles. I recommend to ECF readers that they always seek out peer reviewed medical studies, check the references footnotes and supporting research. Its rarer to see a dozen or more tuchuses in agreement reviewing data, which seemed missing as well.
