Hi, I've been ordering from Eastmall for the last couple of years, but my last attempt they wanted a minimum order of over $200, so I thought I'd try a different supplier and went for Health Cabin. I ordered $88 worth of unflavoured 36mg liquid, vg and pg, some flavourings and an 801 atomizer. The shipping was quoted as $40, for EMS express courier, a bit steep but I paid. I was then contacted by Health cabin and told that there was an extra $15 for EMS shipping to South Africa or else I could use China airmail and they would refund the difference. Well. I went with EMS and paid the extra as I'm running low on non tobacco flavours. Unfortunately there was a national holiday again in China and the order took 16 days to reach me, still not too bad. I had to pay the courier R90 on delivery, for tax and handling.

The package arrived in good condition. The unflavoured 36mg liquid is strong, can definately taste the nicotine. I mixed 10ml 36mg VG with 10ml propylene glycol, R20 from my local pharmacy for 100ml, and 5 drops of blackcurrent flavouring. The taste is a bit strong, lucky I didn't try 10 drops, and vapour production good. These are going to last a while, I ordered the 6ml bottles of flavouring if they had the ones I wanted, otherwise I had to order 10ml, and it will go a long way. The 801 atomizer is a low bridge type, without a visible wick coming out from under the bridge. It works well, I dropped 7 drops in, let it soak for a few minutes then puffed away, no primer taste, plenty of vapour.

I'm going to order again from them, this time I'll try China airmail, it's very cheap so I'll order small amounts and just hope they aren't stolen from my local post office.

Thanks for the input gavin and debb.

I've checked out eciggies but they only carry the black 650mAh kit. They can organise other colours but it takes around 2 weeks so I might as well go for it with HC. I'm really after that BIG batt in steel. I'll probably choose the registered airmail option which normally takes 3 weeks from China for all the other stuff I've ordered fom there.

Hi, Fabsta:
What do you think of the Xpower and Leo?

Just my R0.05 :

I am a customer of both Mike (vaping101) and Walter (eciggies). Once in a while I buy something from Gerhard at easycigarette. I am now considering getting 2 eGo 900 mAh battys from him again, as i lost 3 eGo batteries this week. The 900 mAh batteries are R140 and the 900 mAh eGo kit is R549, so I think I'll go for that.

From my experience eciggies, easycigarette amd vaping101 is about the best suppliers here in SA. the ECS is OK if you like supermini's but I cannot cope with the (lack of) battery life.
Even though I stopped experimenting with different e-cigs, I still spend way too much on these thins every month its attys or battys. I wish I can get something that will last loger than a month! Any suggestions?

Hey Nomdo.

I think that the Xpower is a good pv. The reasons that I went for it was firstly it is a Smoore product (which in my experience is a good manufacturer, my m201 got me off analogues and I used it for 8 months) and secondly, the reviews here on ECF were generally good. Alot of the views were that it is a better pv than the eGo. Personally, I find the carts too small (they are probably similar to the 510 mega in size and being used to the m201 cart I was a little dissapointed. The only other negative is that you can only use the Xpower atty or carto. (because if the 301/601 threading) No experimenting with LR or larger cone/cylinder type attys and tanks, like you can on the eGo. (which is what I want to do and that why I'm gonna get the eGo)

I'm still undecided on the Leo. I does put out more vapor than anything that i have tried. I've had wicking problems which i know can be resolved by either modding the cart or changing carts fairly often or dripping. Spares are a bit scarce unless you order from the US/UK. I haven't been able to find any Chinese vendors that stock them yet. Walter is the only one in S.A that keeps them. If you decide to buy one from him, make sure that it's the latest version with PT capability and the Leo PT inscription on the battery. I think he said that he will be getting those in fairly soon. I was going to buy mine from him but he only had the black one and i wanted the cigar/wood finish. His price is really good on this pv and it isn't really cheaper to import one if you are happy with the black. The attys are expensive imo and my 1st one died after a month. That would be fine for me if I was using it exclusively but i alternate it with the Xpower so it's actually only 2 weeks use effectively. I will be ordering more attys but probably from the UK where i got my starter kit from.
R150 for an atty is too steep for me.

I agree with you on those 3 suplliers if you are are going to buy locally. Their prices and service are great. I got my 1st pv from Mike and bought spares and juice from him a few more times. Also bought juice from Gerhard. I just prefer to spend far less by purchasing from China. I don't pay more than R45 for my xpower attys and about R25/10ml for Dekang. I does take around 3 weeks via Hongkong post and I've never had a problem. I keep my orders fairly small just in case.

Easycigarette's eGo doesn't look like an original eGo. It may be a Riva or SLB. You can tell by the gold band. Not that there's anything wrong with either, I'm just not that crazy about the gold band and prefer to buy an original.

I'm gonna order the Absolute eGo starter kit from HC. 2 1000mAh batts in steel and 2 LR cone attys plus carts, charger etc for $52. I'll get a tank to try out plus some std res cone attys. Postage will only be about R75. It'll take longer but at least I'll be buying what I really want in terms of colour and batt size (and it's an original eGo) I think that Walter's eGo stuff is all original.

I hope this helps....

Thanks it helps!

Agreed about the easycigarette's eGo - I have sent Gerhard 5 emails now to clarify that I want a battery that will take 510 atty's, so I don't know what exactly the advertised 'EGO" is.
But I lost both my 900 mAh and a 650 mAh eGo battys in the last week, so I am desperate.
I'll get a decent Joye from Walter when funds are available.
He also offered me the Boge Leo in black. I am tempted.

So for the HC orders you are taking the cheapest shipping option and it takes 3 weeks? I should get some juice from them. I like the VG mix (steyvasant & Winston) from Walter. Do they have that as well?

BTW - I see your 1 year mark is coming up - congrats

PS - Even the original Joye stuff is buggered if you drop them on the sidewalk more than once :)

I just placed my 1st order from HC this morning so I can't confirm the 3 weeks with that vendor. The shipping on the eGo kit plus a couple of spare attys was $10.20 (the cheap option) I'll let you when it arrives.

I have ordered around 14 times from China using Hongkong Post and it generally takes between 18 and 21 days. I'm also gonna try there juice soon.
PG base:pG 75% VG25% - various flavours
VG base:VG 75% PG 25% - no flavour, so you'll have to get some flavour.
I'm also thinking of trying Greenhouse One's juices, theirs is a PG 67% VG 33% $13.99 for a 60ml. I probably order 5 smaller bottles to try out different flavours.

I've only used 100% PG up until now and want to try throw some VG into the mix. (everyone else seems to be :vapor:) I'm looking forward to trying the eGo cone atty and LR and some other 510 stuff. I can't believe it's taken me so long. They didn't have the T-attys in stainless steel so I'll probably order those next time and maybe the mega cylinder type to try too. I read that Doug is pretty happy with those.

Sorry to hear about your batts. :( Seems like your only option is to buy locally if you need them asap. Yep, it's almost 1 year :toast: Gotta luv vaping!!!

I've never tried EM. The $200 min order put me off. I think that you can order for less than that but then pay shipping according to actual weight. Starts from $45 though, (if memory serves me correct) and they don't do registered airmail.

I used to get my m201 stuff from absolutelyecigs.com and then I found onlyecigs.com which was even cheaper. Get all my DK juice from anycig.com Anyway, I'm kinda tired of DK and want to try something else. GH1 is a registered supplier on ECF and they say that their $15 flat shipping rate applies also to S.A with no min order. Have yet to try it though. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/greenhouse-one/119568-13-99-60ml-premium-eliquid-5.html post#50

P.S always kept my juice orders small just in case. $40 for 4 x 30ml including shipping (lasts me about a month)

I have ordered from HC many times....always fantastic service. I had a problem with a couple of Joye Stick V3s that I bought and they sent replacements even before I had sent the originals back. Bought a load of liquid and DIY stuff (unflavoured 36mg, PG and flavours) as well and can highly recommend them.
