Please read below - does this look promising?

According to this website;
SuperCigarette.ca - The number one Electronic Cigarette - The SUPER CIGARETTE! Smoke Healthier, Live longer!

Health Canada is currently accepting sponsored market research for testing the product and we are proud to state that we will sponsor this market research to obtain market authorisation for our products.

What this means for you:

You will be unable to purchase new kits, cartridges, accessories or spare parts until we receive the license to distribute this product. We are working quickly and hope this issue is rectified shortly. Please check back daily for news updates on this ongoing issue. We will shortly bring up a blog with daily updates.

I haven't been able to find anything from HC that substantiates this.

Not sure what to make of it.

I do know of someone that works as a lab tech at a local facility that runs tests on cigs, cigars and misc. tobacco products that are shipped to them from around the world. I guess this is where BIG tobacco gets the "nic" and "tar" numbers that are required on their packages.

If ecigs are new to the folks at HC, they certainly aren't to the folks at the lab as this person told me that they have been running tests on ecigs for some time (although they were unable to share the results with me).

If the lab has been conducting ecig tests commissioned by HC, and HC possess the current results, I doubt those results would be classified, since none of the information infringes on the security of an individual, department, or the nation. Therefore, results should be obtainable via ATIP... Access to Information and Privacy Homepage

I really don't know the circumstances as to why they couldn't share the info. Most likely a confidentiality agreement that they signed with their employer.

I guess it's like walking into the Sales office at any company in your city and asking what net sales were for last year & what their gross margin is. No one in Sales is required to discuss anything with you......but if CRA shows up and starts asking questions your obliged to open your files.
