Received a Protank yesterday (won't say from which vendor until I hear their response to my complaint) that turned out to be a knockoff.

I immediately filled it with a very strong cinammon juice that I had specifically purchased it for, and this morning I noticed that the tank was looking pretty cloudy. A quick scratch test with my pocket knife confirms beyond doubt that this "Protank" is plastic. (The atomizer head is also quite different from a genuine Kanger.)

My question is whether it's safe to go ahead and finish off the half tank of juice that's left in there?

I wouldn't. After the chemical reaction that causes the tank to melt, it's certain to contaminate the liquid with whatever precipitates the reaction created.

Oh and, yes... genuine Kanger ProTank, PT2 and PT mini are all borosilicate ("pyrex") tanks.

Even if it's a real Protank aka PT1 be advised that harsh juices will break down the silicone glue and contaminate the juice. Now of its plastic, that means that the plastic is also breaking down and the juice is contaminated.

Don't vape with juice that has plastic particulates in it.

This is why Kangar and others are moving away from glued tanks. I've had the glue break down in a Puritank and the juice was contaminated and the entire thing fell apart.

Get Protank 2's.

does it say kanger on it? all of my protanks say kanger and came in kanger packaging. my knock offs are blank and don't have a box or any kind of packaging.

you are saying someone is making fake protanks with kanger markings?

I'd like to know this as well..

If that's not on there it's fake.

No logo, either.

I'm not looking for help deciding if this is a knockoff or not. It definitely is. There's zero doubt of that.

I'm not sure where people get the idea that I'm saying someone is making knockoffs with a Kanger logo.
We're saying it because you didn't mention it was a knockoff in your OP.

The parts I bolded told me he knew it was a knock off. I guess the amount of people not realizing they have knock offs causes many to assume a person isn't aware of what they have.
