I was driving home from work this morning listening to the radio and heard a commercial for an 'electronic cigarette.' It was so cheesy I had to laugh. "Contains a microprocessor that..." It was some kind of free trial gimmick that boasted a kit 'valued at $129 dollars.'

All I could visualize was the crappy mall kiosk trash, and think of how many people would be dooped by this. Then I started thinking about how much more happy all those suckers (I was one so I get to say that) would be if they just bought a quality device off the net. Just thought it was strange to hear it on the radio.

    Somewhere between here and there
They have been playing those commercials on some stations here for quite a while. I have even noticed that a couple places have them stocked on their shelves. The starter kits are about $100 and the packages of carts are $10. I always watch to see if anyone is actually looking at them so I can warn them.

I also just heard an add for an e-cig on the radio. It was the first advertisement I've seen (or heard) of any kind outside the internet. It was for the "American' Blue Cigarette, which turns out to be the Blu E-Cig. It seams like it's being poorly marketed by third party of sorts...their website is sad to say the least and basically just plays the video from blu's site. How do the worst e-cigs manage to have the only advertising around?

I was over my mom's house yesterday and I don't know what channel she was watching but they were running e-cig commercials every other commercial break, mainly for American Blue Tips or whatever they're called. I'd like to know where these companies get the advertising bucks. On one hand I'm very glad that the word is getting out there, on the other hand I wish they were ads for a relatively better product like Blu or Volcano. Blu,Volcano, Revolver etc might not be everybodies cup of tea but I doubt too many people would consider them outright garbage. They're certainly better than these advertised overpriced mall kits.
