Last night I realized I didn't feel my carotid pulse pounding in my neck as usual. Check my pulse rate and it is lower than it has been for over a year. Check my blood pressure and the systolic is lower than anytime in the past year. These positive effects after only two weeks off analogs. I am looking forward to my next doctor's check- up in April after being freed for three months.:glare:

I haven't taken my vital signs since I started. There is a pressure check place at my grocery store pharmacy. I need to see what my numbers are. Although, surprisingly, I've always had BP of 120/70 even with smoking. My pulse has been a little high in the past though. I could check that myself. Thanks for the reminder.

I've been so busy Not Smoking that I haven't thought about things like that.:)

Nicotine is a toxin that raises heart rate and blood pressure. When vaping you ingest less nicotine than smoking, and people who vape tend to hold a lower, but more stable level of nicotine in their system, so the result is a drop in heart rate and blood pressure.

As you reduce the nicotine level down to 0 you'll see a nice drop in both heart rate and blood pressure. Your lungs will gradually clear out and heal so you'll get more oxygen in your blood for every breath as well. The result is you'll feel a lot better, be able to work harder, and recover faster after working.
