Heat Steeping possible problem

Ive ordered from Mt Baker alot.I hate steeping an am very impatient. Mostly cuz i run out before i receive more. I just got 6 bottles from Vapewild. Their plastic bottles are the harder type. Anyway to steep faster, I usually war them in a heating pad for about 2 hours a day and shake them. I do this a few days in a row and it seem to work great. However with the vapewild bottles i tried this and something happened. The bottles are made of a harder clear plastic and when I wrapped them in the heating pad two of the bottles had the bottom pop down. In a way that they dont sit flat on the table if you get what I mean. Is this a different type of plastic and unsafe to do Ive had success using this method with other bottles before.

I usually steep with ultrasonic cleaner for a few hour cycles, it warms up a little but I leave the heat off.

The harder, absolutely transparent plastic is called PET plastic. I wouldn't heat that plastic at all, as its temp. range isn't near that of bottles made of LDPE or HDPE.

No real need to heat steep. You just need patience. Put your juices in a box or whatever and put them in a dark place and leave them alone except for the occasional shake for at least 2 weeks. I tried the heat steeping when I first started vaping and found out that doesn't really help at all.

Personally I order my juices a month in advance. When they arrive I do as I say above and a month later they are good to go.

The thing is, I heat steeped once a day for 5 days on my Mt baker juices and it made a world of difference. Went from tasting like garbage to delicious. I use a heating pad. And make it warm not hot shaking and airing them out a little. I totally ran out of juice or else I'd have the patience. I do t wanna blow 80 bucks in a store waiting from my cheaper juice to steep.

Do you think I could have ruined my juice by heating this type of plastic?

Just heating, or just shaking, or just breathing on it's own helps but it's not optimal. All 3 in combination would get you the best results. I steep my juice in an ultrasonic cleaner with the water level just up to the top neck of the bottle at 60c degrees with the top off so it can breath for 2 hours. It gives me the rough equivalent to 2 weeks of steeping I've found.

I really wouldn't be doing this in any type of plastic bottle. Forget leachables, you're full-on into extractables here. In fact, PET may be better than LDPE if you are going to do this. But probably only do it with glass.

Couldn't you just pour / squirt into your "cleaned" old mt baker bottles ?
