EVERYBODY says that same thing about Caramel Apple tobacco. I don't know why it needs such a long steep, but it does.

I don't know either, but after a while the apple seems to lay back and allows the tobacco to step up....it is crazy but there are moments that I can barely taste the apple now, and I NEVER would have thought that when I first tried it. It is a fine example of what steeping can do in certain juices :)

In my limited experience with steeping, the stronger flavors that I detect in the beginning will mellow and allow the more subtle notes to come alive over time, so this makes sense.

well heathers may not be for you might try goodejuice home brewed line if this is a little too strong for you then i suggest vapingzone for lighter tobacco flavors or happyesmoker -- you really should experience other vendors and i have enjoyed these vendors and still do i still vape coffebacco from lj's esmokes --it was my first vape

Yeah, take the top off of the juice for the first and last day of a two week steep and shake each day (put the cap on before you shake!), Mac. If you don't notice a remarkable difference then, these juices are just not for you. Gandalf and several others you mentioned are greatly improved by steeping. If you still don't care for them, you can trade them with little trouble.

For me I think HHV shines with the chocolate flavored e-liquids. From what I've read it seems that most of their e-liquids might have a hidden chocolate base so I went ahead and ordered the Clockwork Orange and the Powderkeg. Both of which are mainly chocolate flavors. So far Oompa has been my favorite of all the e-liquids I've tried. I like the simplicity of the chocolate and tobacco and think it will be my daily for a while.

I've only ordered once from HHV so far (was right at the end of December) and I got one of their sample packs. These are pre-mixed so they're already steeped.

Yes, unless they're from a fresh batch which was made for samples.
I'll bet HHV ships a a vast number of sample bottles in a month's time. They probably don't sit on the shelf for long.
