Hard to say, Especially the month part. I bought two starter kits so I would have 4 of everything and two chargers.

I'd buy empty carts and a selection of juices to start to find what you like. Maybe a sampler pack. I'd try to end up with 30-60 ml. That wont last a month but you wont know what to buy until you try if first. Then after you get a better idea go for the month stock up.

Most people report 2-3 ml a day usage. Me? Way more.

If your a two pack a day smoker I would recomend going for 24mg liquid

The 510 is a great first choice

\rather than going for the month thing right off the bat, I'd suggest you go for a starter kit with at least 2 batteries and 2 atty's
Make sure you buy juice and get 2 or 3 flavours

Try it for a couple of days and you will then be in a better position to buy some more, and you will want/need more

I need 3 or 4 batteries to get me through the day without recharging (I should really get a PCC) and attys can be a learned art.

e-cigarettes are not a one off purchase, think of them as consumables as they wont last forever

Good luck and keep posting

I was a 2 pack a day smoker also and just started vaping. The first e-juices I ordered were 18 mg/ml and think I was struggling a bit to get enough nicotene not to have urge for an analog (if you trying to quit). I received a 24 mg/ml e-juice today and that seems to be working better for me for now, hopefully cut back to 18 mg.ml juices here soon.
I smoked camels though, so don't know if that makes difference, but if the 18 mg/ml doesn't seem to be keeping smoking a cigarette urge down, you might want to bump up to 24 mg/ml. Or maybe bump down to 14 mg/ml if 18 mg/ml seems to much I guess also.

So maybe not stock up too much on the initial e-juice, maybe 10-20 ml until you know whether the concetration is good for you or if you need to adjust up or down.

I was also a heavy smoker and honestly, I don't think I would have been able to quit if I hadn't vaped 36mg to start. That may be too high for you, but I sure wouldn't start at less than 24mg.

Caveat: Some formerly heavy smokers find that the low nic levels of 11-18mg work for them but they don't even work for me now, after over 3 months. Only now am I vaping 24mg without getting edgy.

I guess the bottom line is that it's probably a good idea to get several different strengths of e-juice because it's too hard to predict what your nicotine needs will be until you've actually started vaping.

Good luck!

Edited to add: I forgot about the juice recommendation. I love the juices from MyFreedomSmokes, especially the Keoke Coffee and English Toffee in extra-flavor. I'm pretty sure that they sell a sampler pack.

Be careful about buying from china. Even when things go through customs smoothly, it takes forever for them to get here. I may be wrong but I believe haven's gifts is in china. If that's not correct, please somebody, correct me.

The great thing about dealing with American suppliers, is that shipping is real quick. Most ship second day, and that means there's less anticipation in waiting, which... I also like.

Oh, yeah, and as a 2 pack a day smoker, you're going to need the 24mg juice. No way around it, I'm afraid. I was at 2.5 packs of Camels a day, and the 18mg juice just didn't do it for me.

Heaven Gifts is in China. And from what I have read, US customs often hold up mail from them quite long. But that is something people from the US can tell far more about.

I like to order from them, but never stuff that is urgent. Maybe some of those "disposable" 510s can help out in the meantime? MadVapes LLC has them.

My advice, you need some stronger 24 and also less strong 4 or 6mg strength and a bottle or two to mix different strengths and see what you like. Start with small bottels so you can try a few flavors. Buy just 1 or 2 starter kits and try out what you have. Just vape part time and get the hang of doing it, toping off that kind of thing.

When/if you are going to quit analogs cold turkey, you will want lots of everything you need. I tried/failed once and I think I will buy one of the bigger battery mod boxes before I try again. Right now I am playing around with different juices/strengths. I was disappointed when I went back to analogs, but I think one reason is, I didn’t do my homework ahead of time (I keep running out of things) As far as hardware I wouldn’t try to quit cold turkey with less then 8 batteries, 2 chargers, 4 attys. I was vaping non-stop and actually needed to step down in nic strength to avoid getting sick. So try it before spending a bunch.

I highly recommend Cignot for the Joye 510. They have kits for $35 that come with 2 e-cigs - one for charging and one for using. Their shipping is FAST and they come pre-charged so you can use it as soon as the mailman delivers it. :)

I wasted a lot of money on juice that I didn't like, although it was better than smoking an analog. Now I use Tasty Vapor mostly and like the amount of flavor he puts in his juice... very tasty!

I decided to allow myself to smoke if I wanted and surprisingly after a couple of days (2-4 cigs per day) I couldn't stand the smell of analogs. It's important to read, read, read the information on this forum so you are very familiar with vaping. If you are ever discouraged come here and someone will help make your vaping experience so much better than smoking cigarettes ever was, I promise! I was also a heavy smoker for many years and now I can breath and I feel FREE!!!

There are some great threads for new members on the 510 and vaping in general. Good luck and I look forward to seeing you help other new members in the near future. :)

Ok I know I need to order the starter kit, I'm thinking of going with the 510. I am a 2 pack a day smoker now. What do I need to order for a month's worth w/o ordering again b/4 then? As how many atomizers, cartridges, batteries, etc, etc.? Any help is greatly appreciated. :)

I was a 3 pack/day smoker of ultra lights. I vape about 25ml/week on a 510 mod - Bartleby mainly, but quit smoking on a 510 kit. I ordered 4 attys at that time with two batteries and a passthrough. If I were to do it again, I'd get two 510 mega batteries, 4 atomizers, charger, flat tip cartridges and at least 60ml of juice to start. I vape at 12 now but started with 18mg and 24mg is too high for me. ymmv of course.
