Hi everybody.
I smoked analogs only rarely and socially from the time I was 14 until I was 16. Then I started seeing a girl who smoked. And occasionally became at least a pack a day for 10 years.
Eventually, a friend and decided to quit together. And once I'd made it 24 hours, I thought to myself: "I haven't gone this long in 10 years, and I don't know if I'll get back here, so I better keep going.
So for three and a half years, I was nicotine free.
Then, stressed out, I had one analog. And since I had the pack...
For the last three and a half years, I've been off and on smoking. Sometimes I'll go weeks without. But not so much lately.
My current girlfriend bought some off-brand mall e-cig a couple years ago. I tried using it. It didn't give me any of the satisfaction of the analogs, but it dulled the urge to smoke. So I thought, why not?
It leaked around where the cartridge attached, it leaked out of the mouth hole. It was pretty nasty. And then it died.
So, after a while, she bought some cheap China e-cig online. I never got a chance to try it, since it broke in about a month.
I started reading about the present state of the art a couple days ago after reading an online article about potential regulations and limitations to e-cigarettes. And read articles in the forum and watched Youtube videos. I saw big, thick clouds of vapor, and read about throat hit, and various temperatures and concentrations.
I came to the conclusion that maybe I could get a truly satisfying replacement. Or at least do something different.
I like to tinker around, so I think that seeking that satisfaction could be a useful way to spend my time, while getting off the nasty analogs.
So here I am.
