Hey all

I've registered a few weeks ago and must say I am impressed by the magnitude of this forum. Actually it is a bit too large so I'd like some help on some points. Feel free to link me to a useful topic if it can answer one of my many questions.

So lets first give you an idea of what kind of sensation I seek in vaping to make sure I dont get a bunch of irrelevant answers. I bought the Greensmoke starter kit first, then bought 28 extra cartomizers as I was satisfied by the product.
The reason for me to buy Greensmoke is the fact that they ship from the UK, which given my location (Belgium) is favoured over shipping from the US. When I bought the Greensmoke starter kit I was well aware of the much cheaper alternatives, but didnt want to risk losing the shipment due to customs nor did I feel like waiting 3 weeks.

Now not only have I taken an interest in vaping for personal use, I also intend to explore wholesaling posibilities to give Belgians easier and cheaper access to electronic cigarettes.

Now, for both purposes I am only interested in the two piece designs, so dont try to convince me juggling with liquids is cheaper and maybe even better, I know.
There are two things that bother me massively atm regarding vaping.
1) 99.9% of the 'review' websites are bullsht and conceiled affiliating or marketing
2) Most brands come from the US and shipping overseas is very annoying

So I'd like some clarity on all the different 2 piece designed ecigs. Does anyone know anything about compatibilty between the companies. For example does the greesnmoke cartomizer fit a V4L battery? Which company has the best battery atm or are all equally bad? Is it good at all to try to combine battery and cartomizers from different brands? What brand other than Greensmoke operates partially or completely out of the UK or another Europe based location? Are the differences in satisfaction of 2 piece designed ecigs clear or are they rather personal, as I am reading tons of conflicting reviews..

Hey again (sorry for the WOT) :)

thanks for the link, very helpful. Can I assume a backward compatibilty? GS battery fits bloog cartomizer and bloog battery fits GS cartomizer?

Yes, that's correct.

The only exception comes in when using bigger battery models. For example, you can't charge a 510 (mini) on an ego (also a 510) charger.

No it does not fit - not without the adapters from leCig.com

D1 to D2 lets you use Vapor4Life battery and Greensmoke (KR808D-1 aka E9 cartos)

D2 to D1 lets you use Greensmoke battery and KR808D-1 cartos (Vapor4Life, SmokelessImage Volt, Halocigs G6, Bloogplanet, and any other KR808D-1 cartos you find 2.5 ohm or higher, as well as standard resistance DSE901 atomizer and carts for testing juices - not a drip tip though if you have auto batteries)

I found the above chart confusing and it only lists a few brands.

This is how I would explain it -

The "510" and "KR808" refers to the thread of the battery. Attomizers carts need to have the same threads and if they do they generally fit. You can buy "adapters" that will allow you to use a different thread (I believe Totally Wicked sells these but as I've been away from the Ecig world for six months I'm not sure about current availability).

So the first thing you want to know is what kind of battery thread you have and go from there. Other than that, sorry I can't help you at this time with more info but it's all here on this forum.

The issue it seems is that a lot of the expensive (overpriced) ecigs don't like to tell people what type of battery they have. In fact a couple people have asked and they wouldn't say. I wouldn't either if I could get people to pay $35 for a crap battery or $25 for a bunch of prefilled cartos.

The link kinda-sorta give you a rough idea where to start. Most of the people seeking this info have just started vaping and don't know a KR808 from a 510, etc. They just see a bunch of numbers.

How is Smoketip as Ive heard good things about them and they do have sharp pricing. When I contacted them about wholesaling however they referred me to a wholesaler, which is kind of strange.. They said they dont ship international, only that specific wholesaler does. But if their products are good it might still be worth it to.. euhm.. wholesale, from a wholesaler.. :p

So far I've been thinking of GS en ST primarely, although I was a bit bumed out after noticing how uncooperative ST is when it comes to international business. Then again GS is an 'ok' product I think, yet there must be better or equally good for the a cheaper price. They are favoured due to their location though, but I dont want to be shortminded. Not for my future business, nor for personal purchases either..

If a company will not tell me the mah and the thread of the battery stop right there and go someplace else. As consumers, we need to demand accountability and that starts with knowing what the seller is selling us. The mah will tell you about how long a battery will last in general between charges. While this will vary by they way each person vapes, you will still get more time the higher up in number the mah is.

I don't want to spend $65 on something I should be paying $24 for. So knowledge is key and if they won't tell you they are trying to hold you hostage to rebuying only their supplies or else making more profit than they should be allowed.

A 180mah will give you about 2 and a half hours. A 280 mah about 3 to 4 and a 650 about 8 hours between charges. So the battery is an important part of it all. Don't pay a 650 mg price for a 180 mah battery.

Next it's good to decide on the issue of refilling. Choose your cart method that works best for you. I prefer the tank because I just pop open the end and refill it and it lasts me all day. But I have all kinds. Sometimes I like a slimmer ecig if I'm going out social because I don't look like a lady smoking a cigar but most of the time I use the larger battery and tank using of course the cone atty that the tank slips into.

I think the two above items, battery life and method/options of refill, are the two most important issues. You can always change the eliquid and try different atty's, as previously mentioned you'll want to know the thread so you can try different manufacturers.

Are the differences in satisfaction of 2 piece designed ecigs clear or are they rather personal, as I am reading tons of conflicting reviews..

As with anything having to do with 'satisfaction' - it's purely a matter of personal preference. There are no universally right or wrong answers.

Reviews are nothing more than expressions of the reviewer's opinion based on his or her experience with the product for the most part. Obviously, if someone says that an eGo is larger in diameter than a 510, that is something that can be proven or dis-proven easily by measuring or making a visual comparison. But when it comes to satisfaction - there is no standard unit of measure to use for comparison.

You mentioned reselling, but limiting yourself to only 2-piece? Interesting. If it were me looking at a start-up business, I think I would prefer to not limit my potential customer base like that. But it isn't my startup capital on the line. :)

I get what your saying about limiting. The thing is, e-cigs are nowhere yet in Belgium. I am the first person that I know of to have actually tried it. And imo the future of vaping is not in working with liquids. The average smoker does not want to play chemist, even though its just basic dripping. Secondly, legally is the selling of liquids containing nicotine illegal unless you are an apothecary. Selling fixed, harmless volumes, such as those that come in a closed cartomizer, are legal, or atleast on the thin line between legal and illegal.
Third and also important: smoking is getting more expensive all over the world. In Belgium however it is still not 'expensive', atleast not as expensive as in other countries (such as the usa). Meaning people dont mind paying a couple bux extra if it gives them a straightforward and easy to use product. Even though GS is one of the more expensive e-cigs, it is still a little more than twice as cheap as smoking analogs.
