Hello all,
I recently purchased a kanger evod starter kit and after 3 weeks of vaping I am noticing cracks in the tanks. The place I bought the ejuice from says
there juice won't harm/crack tanks. I have never dropped them but, I do clean them every 3-4 days with luke warm water, give them a quick rince with Iso alcohol 70%, warm water again, then let air dry overnight. Could the Iso alcohol be causing the issue, or is it more likely the ejuice?

ry4 double, fresh strawberry, nice & smooth tobaco, watermelon - flavors that I have been using

Hi :)

This is quite normal, actually. All of my original EVOD clearos (I bought 5 colours) have developed these cracks.

I guess I never came to any conclusion about tank cracking liquids, because none of my other tanks cracked using my preferred flavours (tobacco, citrus). Citrus is well known for problems, but most UK citrus e-juice is lame and if it didn't crack Vivi Novas and Kanger T3S, then it seems unlikely.

I bought some eVo (Halo) Lime (Limelight) 3 weeks ago... that had only ever gone in glass.

Go to glass... it's worth it long run. :)

I really like these evod's, but from what I've read allot of people have problems with cracks. I did buy a protank 2 mini glass, but it seems to go through more juice (1.8ohm came with the protank 2 mini instead of 2.2ohm that came with evod), and feels a bit too top heavy for the evod 650mah standard batteries. Also these aren't leaking yet so I'm still using them

Give the RGM2 a try. It is a basic tank, nothing fancy. It does use the same coils as the Kanger evod - easy to rebuild if you decide you want to try. Do a forum search for RGM2 and read what others have to say. And you do not have to worry if a juice will crack the tank. A typical order from fasttech.com takes 2-3 weeks from China to west coast California.

how are the dual coils on these small units? it seems allot of shops my way are selling more of them then the single

I don't like them, no.

I prefer v1 and v2 Protanks (mini, mostly) to v3 and the latest evod glass etc.

A 1.8ohm will use a little more liquid than a 2.2ohm. That is true.

I've used a bundle of EVOD tanks. I only had one crack, and I'm not completely sure it was related to the juice, but I'll never say never. I would often soak them in vodka as part of cleaning them out.

I build my coils to about 1.7-2.0 ohms for these (well, the EVODs are retired now, as I'm using a bunch of PT2s, but they use the same coils) Run about 9W most of the time - pretty happy for *ME*

I didn't care for dual coils on my early batteries (Spinners and VV3s.) They just seemed to suck the battery down too quickly.

I only use unflavored liquid, but I still get an occasional crack in my plastic Evod tanks. (like 2-3 tanks in the last year or so) I agree that the PT2 mini is top heavy on an ego battery, and they don't seem to hold as much liquid as the Evod...thus they don't last as long between refills. I still like the glass better, however. The replacement coils are the same, so you can use the 2.2 ohm coils on the PT2 mini.
