First off, let me introduce myself. Name is Tom. I would take this question to another forum, but I just joined. w00t! However, my access is restricted to here for the first 5 post. I'll probably be sticking around with all my new question, as I plan to begin DIY eliquid sometime soon. I'm not quite there yet though, so this is an unrelated DIY question.

So my girlfriend and I have been vaping for a few months now. When we smoked analogs (she still does from time to time), I smoked Marlboro Lights and she smoked Newport Medium 100's. I personally haven't come across a flavor that I can't vape. Of course I like some more then others, but over all...they're all doable too me. Her on the other hand is unable to find a suitable menthol flavor. From what I've read and heard from other vapors, this isn't uncommon. She's tried multiple menthol eliquids, but complains that none of them actually have a "cigarette type menthol flavor." It's more of a Mint type flavor. I understand that the same flavor can change taste depending on the atty, voltage, and even depending on who's actually vaping it. A flavor that taste like apples to me, may taste like oranges to someone else.

Basically I would just like to get other peoples opinions on different brands / manufacturers that may have nailed the menthol cigarette taste. Something that we can order her, that she may enjoy much more.

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance,
Tom

I really really like Slims Menthol E-Liquid - MyFreedomSmokes.com

In fact it is the only juice I purchase now. I DIY the rest. This one just satisfy that need for something as close as possible to what I used to smoke first thing in the morning.

Fair warning the menthol flavor DOES get stronger with steeping.

Hi Emotion.
There is no e-liquid that will match the flavor of burning paper and plant materials.
I had been in the same chase as you for a very long time. Here is the problem as I find it. Tobacco flavors do not combine well with just menthol. There is always a fairly odd flavor when the two are directly combined. I have tried a few that where better than others. When I was purchasing liquids I preferred the hangsen menthol. I probably used well over a liter of that liquid when I was purchasing premade liquid. It has all the basic flavors associated with a menthol cigarette. I have long since jumped ship from searching for that type of flavor, but my all day vape is a peppermint menthol which I make for myself.

Extreme ice from mt. baker vapor is an excellent menthol. It packs a punch but it doesn't give any other flavors other than a cool menthol. Prices start at $5 for 15mls which is about the best pricing you can find online.

Now I am not saying it tastes like a Newport, but both my wife and I think it has a definite mentholy cigarette similarity.

Very valid point. I kind of put her down gently with somewhat of the same response.

Awesome. You guys have definitely got me pointed in good direction I feel. Some of you mentioned even mixing a different flavor with a menthol taste. I was kind of thinking that might be the way to go for her....something refreshing, with a cool menthol taste behind it. But I think first I'll be on the lookout for the menthol brands you guys have mentioned, and if that doesn't fill that void in her life - then we'll start the mixing of the flavors.

Thank you everyone!
Tom

I have about 50 fifty menthols at my house when I was looking. My all day vape for months now is Mr. ELiquid full menthol at 18mg mixed with a little Vapor God regular menthol 18 mg and that is it for me for several months now. I found it. I smoked VA Slims full flavor menthol for more years than I can count. This set up is very good. When I get bored with it I drop a few drops of other flavors I like, such as Krankberry from Fuzion. That makes it a fruity menthol. Good stuff.

easyvapors.com makes two...one is called jackfrost and the other trucig menthol. the first has more of a minty taste the trucig is a more natural menthol { whatever that means :glare: } i find a mixture of the two 50/50 is quite nice and i am an ex-newport smoker...not to mention there prices are quite nice as well...around $15 for a 30ml PLUS 30% for new customers so thats like just over $10 for a 30ml bottle

I had the same issue with wife. I bought the menthol Ice and start mixing it in different juices until I found one she likes. Now she vapes Irish Cream with Ice Menthol 50/50 and she's happy.
