not good throat hit
Do you know the PG/VG ratio of the juice you are using?

and i was searching for a good tobacco flavor but havent really found any but after reading lots of threads on here i dont think i will find it
Whenever people say that, this is what I always suggest...
DK Tab E-liquid Valley Vapor

You can get a 10ml bottle there for less than $5 with very reasonable postage.

And if neither of those are what's "missing" then you might just one of the people who need this...
Whole Tabacco Alkaloid (WTA) juice[/QUOTE]

Ok the Kgo is too large. Either your present PV or a eGo C WITHOUT the tank system- it's really not a tank but an atomizer+ cartridge. You can always add on a carto with tank very cheaply or a Clearomizer. I just bought an eGo C WITHOUT the tank. The kit came with 4 Clearomizers and he's in vape heaven. The starter kit cost $50.00 and the batteries are 1000 mah. 100 mah= 1 hr normal Vaping before recharge.
Good Luck.

I have the ego T. It was what a friend had. Ordered it from thevaporpro.com. Excellent service and juice. Super fast shipping. I did have an issue a couple of weeks ago with leaking. I ordered the silicone replacement caps and that has seemed to do the trick. My next investment will be a pair of 1000 mAh twists to complement them. Good luck and happy vaping.

Windy I was like you had the problem of not letting go of the analogs.I had gotten a starter kit that had the tank system with it I had also gotten the 24 mg but I was still smoking analogs by the 4th day I went back to the store I had gotten it from and they gave me a clear carto to try. Now mind you I was a 2-3 pk a day smoker for almost 40 yrs but from that day on I have not touched an analog I had tried all the things on the market to quit patches, chantix, ect, ect, although I still have days where I want one them are the days I am vaping like there's no tomorrow. It is also true it is very hard to find a good tobacco flavor. I was a menthol smoker and I am still looking for one. Everyone is different and you just have to find what works for you.I did buy a few of the ego-t passthroughs I love mine but I use a glass tank or a stardust with it. Good luck I know you can do it,it will be in your own time.

70/30 ratio
So you're vaping 70/30 PG/VG ratio at 24mg and the throat hit is not enough?
That's a tough spot to be in.

I guess at this point I'm going to have to say you need more power.
Which as I noted in a previous post means either more voltage or lower resistance.

I wish you good luck, and hope mine or some of the other suggestions put you where you need to be.
:)

its simple. Your not ready to quit yet. Most people new to to vaping feel the same as you. Its very common. They start off with a hybrid of smoking and vaping. I dont care what you read here vaping is not a direct replacement for smoking. Just keep doing what your doing. Vaping is a close second place over time you might realize its not worth the price your paying for a pack of smokes and go with the other choice of vaping.
Vaping is no magic bullet and will not work for most. you have to want to quit.
you are right on track for making the commitment, What your going throw is normal.

I was having the exact same issue ending the last few analogs and got some advice, same as you. Then I ordered stronger and better e-liquid plus switched to a SmokTech 510 1.5ohm LR Dual Coil Mega Carto (from Vaporgod, like $8 for a 5pk). Goto Johnson Creek, and buy either their Red Oak Tennessee Cured or Red Oak Swiss Dark at 2.4%. This combo made a huge difference, this SmokTech LR carto gives a great throat hit and huge amounts of vapor (very warm vape). The Red Oak line is 100% VG, produces lots of thick vape, those 2 flavors rock!! Trust me on this, it makes a huge difference and it there is no doubt it will help you too. Please trust me, it will cost prolly like $25 for both items shipped but it is well worth money. Once I made the switch it was easy as pie to end analogs.

I'm 2 weeks analog free, and had tried many different liquids, cartos, clearo's and tanks combos until someone suggested this combo to me, and I'm grateful I learned about it.

added: get a driptip or similar tip for these cartos if you do not have one, they don't come with one. these cartos are aluminum and can get hot. Also having a varying voltage PV helped me too, is not needed don't get me wrong, but its fun as a noob to try liquids and varying voltages. It helped me keep my mind off analogs. I do have a generic eGo-C w/ passthrough and it works pretty darn good with the SmokTech's. I believe regular eGo's are 3.7volts, so its a perfect voltage for a 1.5ohm Carto IMHO.

i do not have any suggestions as far as diff vaping systems and liquid go but what worked for me my first couple days was the few times in a day that i still wanted an analog first i would vape for 5-10 mins. if that did not work then i would suck on a piece of sugar free hard candy. i get grossed out by even the thought of smoking and eating something at the same time and with hard candy it took me at least 10 mins to finish it and by that time i noticed that if my desire wasnt completely gone i was able to quell whatever was left by vaping for another 5 or so mins.

if you think it is related to going outside. then by all means at those times go outside and attempt to vape first. if that does not work then maybe try like i did and do something for a good length of time that you would never do while smoking.

everyone is diff and going to have a diff way they are able to get off analogs. i wish you all the best. the most important thing is to believe in yourself and know you can do it. and you know what if for a while it takes a couple analogs through the day to get to your over all goal of analog free so be it. you have come a long way. CONGRATS

Hey Windy! I'm new to this as well, I've been messing around with e-cigs for a few months now and I still need my analogs to get thru the day. After reading all the posts in your thread(and many others) I firmly believe we'll be able to throw away the stink sticks sooner or later, the 2 small pv's I started with just don't quite cut but I think I've figured out what will work for me and you will too. If not... we can always come back here and read/research more to get it figured, were all unique in so many ways that it doesn't surprise me in the least that each of us will need to find our own way to get the analog monkey off are back, lol. Best of luck and happy vaping!

Congratulations on your decision to switch to vaping, Windy! It's a process and it takes what it takes. Some folks become ex-smokers from their first puff of vapor, others (like me) seem to take forever, but that's okay. Because the important thing is, every cigarette we *don't smoke* is a WIN! I've found it is pointless to compare myself to anyone else because I'm not anyone else. I learn a lot from other folks but things which work for them may or may not work for me - in vaping, just like in Real Life.

A few things that are working though: after months of vaping, I haven't given up because I'm still having more WINS than losses. I know this is working for me, even if less than 100%, and both my health & my bank account are in better shape because of it. And so many of the posts I read here inspire me to keep looking & reaching forward, certain that in time I will find the satisfaction I seek without setting little bonfires of rubbish beneath my nose.

In the meantime I'm having fun with it wherever it leads me. Now when I want a nic fix there are at least 3 options from which to choose: vape, smoke, or wait & decide later. For almost 50 years I never considered any options - just lit a cigarette without even thinking about it. It's kinda nice, having my mind consult me about such matter again after all these years!

Best of luck, Blessings from my cave & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I'd like to add that for a long time I was in the so called hybrid camp, I wanted to quit but figured if I at least cut down that would be a start, and if that's all I ever accomplished well smoking less is definitely better. So I continued to vape because ultimately I was not ready to quit. Finally, the day came when I was, and I did it. So the important thing here is not to beat yourself up if you are having trouble, and if you really want to quit you will at some point.

Causing yourself to have more stress or even any stress over smoking is self defeating. As we know, we use tobacco to manage stress, and if we cause ourselves more stress, we will be not only making our lives more difficult, we will be making quitting a lot more difficult as well.

So I want to give a shout out to the hybrid vapers out there, who I strongly urge to stick with vaping, and even if you never make it past this, you are doing yourself a service. From my own experience though, I think we get married to smoking to a degree, although it really isn't a good marriage, but in order to break free of it, you just have to let go in favor of a new and better partner. So best of luck in looking to do that and we are here to support you with your journey!

Generally the different delivery systems are:
Cartridge + atomizer- cartridge has stuffing, is filled with juice and drips on to atomizer.
Cartomizer- metal tube with element and stuffing.
Cartomizer and tank- Cartomizer has hole in it and is surrounded by plastic tank filled with juice. Juice flows from tank thru hole in Cartomizer.
Clearomizer- element and wick in a plastic tank- easy filling and very popular.

is a clearomizer just a tank?

It sounds like you need either or both of the following:

1. A better, stronger e-cig like the KGO or a variable voltage device
2. A better, stronger e-liquid. If you need 36mg to get you off the tobacco, don't hesitate.

All e-liquids are not created equal when it comes to your particular taste buds. You will have to find the one that hits the spot FOR YOU. This means that you will need to do some trial and error to find your go-to favorite(s).

Too often I see posters here cautioning against the higher levels of nicotine, and these posters are often fairly new to the vaping scene. Do NOT listen to them; they are wrong. If you can't give up the tobacco at 24mg, bump up to 30mg or 36mg when you feel the need. Eventually you will probably bump your nic level down to a lower level but your primary focus right now is to stop smoking tobacco.

I smoked 1-1.5 packs a day for 37+ years, tried constantly to quit without success using every method known to man, and was only able to quit when I started vaping. I haven't smoked since my very first vape, which was an 808 ecig and 36mg e-liquid. I stayed at that nic level for nearly two years and I'm still alive to tell the tale. Nowadays I vape 16-19mg.
