Hello everyone. My girlfriend got me one of the cheap Xhaleo2 electronic Cigarettes from 7-11 about two weeks ago. That was the last time I had a cigarette I am happy to say. What I am not happy to say is that I have been using one of the cheap Xhales lol! The first night I got it I got online and found this forum and began to read. Right away I ordered two 10ml bottles of e juice from a local but internet only company. I then used that to refill the cartridges that came with the Xhale. Saving money over buying the refills that they sell and getting used to the idea of refilling stuff like that I guess. So since then I have read...a lot here. Most of the time happily puffing away on the Xhale. Now i have read enough to feel that I am ready to get something new and better, but have also read enough to not be sure what I want to try first!

So I have it somewhat narrowed down to two products that I to try. One is the Echo and the other is the 510 Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer. I have been looking at the kit that madvapes sells for the mega. Does that sound like a good way to start to everyone? Any and all ideas or comments about those two are welcom. I read the 32 plus page thread o n the Mega and more or less all of the 100 plus thread on the Echo. Thanks everyone.

Echo, Ego, Riva,Tornado, Kgo - all pretty much the same. Kgo has a bit more power and the battery lasts longer. At 39.99 for the kit it's a great deal from breezesmokes or hoosierecigsupply. 1100 mAh and more voltage. But no sweat if you got an Ego or Riva. Still great. The lite bundle at Liberty Flights is a great deal (click the 20% off coupon on top of page).

The Kgos can handle the low resistance dual core cartomizers. There are warnings about putting them on other 'fat battery' setups like the Ego.

Stick with the 510 threading if you can. Anything with proprietary threading like the Go-go, you're stuck buying their stuff that only fits that product.

I went straight to mods from the slim cigarette-looking mall kit. I didn't know about ECF. Bought it on Craigslist, ha. I was super-lucky to get a nice guy that taught me a lot. Still, there was a learning curve. With the fat batts you're shopping for you charge, fill a carto, screw it on and vape. Hard to mess it up. Great choice for first upgrade. Good luck!

Are you talking about this kit from Mad Vapes?
MadVapes 510 Ego Mega Dual Coil Cartomizer Kit

I have that kit. Something you may need to be aware of, the batteries might need to be adjusted. It's simple to do, you get a small screwdriver and raise the pin slightly. Not a big thing I guess but I'd prefer not to have to adjust something that's brand new.

Also, there is no wall adaptor with this kit. You'll need to purchase one.

If you add up each individual item, it's cheaper to purchase this way. I haven't had it long enough to tell you how long the batteries last or anything. I'm still using my Joye ego batteries that are 7 months old. Overall, it's a good kit. You may want to purchase an atomizer to test juice. Who wants to fill a 5 ml carto with juice they hate.

I did purchase echo-e cartomizers and do like them a lot. The echo-e has a bigger battery, and Bill in the Supplier's section sells the echo-e kit for around $45.00. He may be out of the echo-e kit but you could PM him and see when he's getting more in.

I think you'll be happy with either kit.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Ok have some more to read. I did look briefly at the E-power. Loved the idea of the batteries that it uses. Here is a question about it, and it may be a dumb and/or simple question. It uses pre filled carts that you can refill, which is more or less what I am doing now and I kinda what I am trying tpo get away from. Haveing to refill so often etc. Are there any Cartomizers that will fit and work well with the E-power. Once again thanks all. Ok ok edited, I see that it can use cartomizers but to be honest I am not clear which ones or if they fit the cone etc.

    in a cave, eh?
If you go to Liberty-Flights.com, they also sell the 18650 E-Power. It's a little bigger than the other E-Power, but the battery life is even more impressive.

The Echo is a nice system, but you're kinda limited to the Echo cartomizers. They really work nice. And the system is an automatic, which you might find a little more convenient. One member here swears by them and likes to use them hands-free. I find they are really kind of heavy to be holding in your teeth, but I guess you could get used to it.

Now, I've been playing around with different atomizers, cartomizers, drip tips, etc. And the Echo is kind of limiting in that regard. But, if you don't mind the size, about the size of a large cigar, you might be happy with an E-Power.

If you like having lots of juice handy, you might look at putting the VaporEssence Vape-o-matic Liquinator on top of your battery.

Regarding the Mega Dual Ego from MadVapes, it seems that it's a SmokTech product. I.e. not the standard Ego most of us may already be familiar with. I was following another thread where a member's MadVapes eGo was fried (both batteries: toast) due to a faulty charger. I have no idea if it's usually a good reliable system to go with.

You might like Boge LR or SmokTech dual coil cartomizers for your E-Power. The cone will fit around them just fine.

You might also like the SmokTech Mega XL Clear cartomizers. But, the cone won't fit around them.

I'm not sure why you couldn't use a carto with it. You may not be able to use the cone but I would think that would be the only change.
