i hear a lot of people saying you cant get a buzz off of an e-cig. but after my first two puffs of one (18mg 5volt device) i deffinently got a lightheaded feeling and the first time i used a 24mg juice i had the same thing. it rarely has happened since then since ive gotten used to it. but i definitely felt something that first time

You want to go high volts or low resistance. Putting the two together will fry your atty or cartomizer or trip the saftey on your 5V mod if it has one. If it doesn't, you might fry the batteries or the mod as well. Low resistance with a 3.7 e-cig will give you ALMOST the same vape as a 5V with standard resistance attys or cartos.......

I can't completely agree with this. I do agree that a standard low resistence atty will get too hot around 4.2+ volts. On the other hand a dual coil is just outstanding at 5 volts. And as long as you have high drain batteries on your 5 volt, then it won't trip the protection circuit.

I use dual coils with my Darwin and with my 5 volt box mod (high drain batteries) without any issues.

Okay, so now I understand that it's about your Wattage, rather than just your Volts or Ohms.

Would the Provari be a metal tube mod? It seems that the Provari and Darwin are the top contenders at the moment. Darwin's are also sold out at the moment and I'd really like to get a nice piece as soon as possible.

I'm leaning away from the Darwin right now because the fact that you can't swap batteries on them, that's a bummer.

In the wonderfully done comparison between the Provari and the Darwin by GeekGirlVaper, she had a tank thing on her piece, what is that called and what does it do?

It's funny, the more research I do, the more questions I have. I was looking up info on the Darwin, which lead me to the Provari, which lead me onto the VV Army Tank, then to bottom feeders. It's a lot to try to take in and comprehend!

So much info to look into; I think I'll sleep on it and see if I have more questions.

Groovu, I use the Darwin and it's the first PV I've ever had where there is no need to switch out the batteries. 21+ hours on a charge and I am a very heavy vaper. Since getting the Darwin, I have no need to carry extra batteries. Plus it is a pass-through so you can vape and charge at the same time. It also has "regulated boost circuit" technology, so the last vape is just as good as the first right off the charger. No loss of power due to battery drain. It is also the only PV that senses the resistence change of the atty/carto and automatically adjusts the power level to maintain your original setting. nhaler tends to get a new batch in every 10 days.

I don't know what was up with me last night, I was so excited to order my first legit vaporizer that I stayed up all night to do research and make my final choice. I ended shelling out for a ProVari with two extended batteries. (I don't know why but I can't ever remember the name ProVari, I keep thinking Porvapor, ProVisa, or something other than ProVari.) I should receive it a week from now; I can not wait.

I was overwhelmed with the accessories for vaporizers. It took me a while, but I found a site that sold 306s and a fruit sampler pack. After these, I'll try out some drip trips and maybe pick up a Torpedo tank.

Thank you all for all of your guidance and help, I'm glad that such a community exists for e-cigarettes.

I would suggest an E-Power or a 900ma EGO with a 2.0 ohm carto and 24mg liquid - most people that I know who have tried This, seem to think it's the closest to an analog they have ever found - some( who were used to the little 401's) have hit it a little too hard - and started coughing immediately.

The longer you use a GOOD e-cig - even if you continue to smoke - the more satisfying - the E-Cig will be - and the less you will want to smoke

You won't be disappointed with the ProVari. You get to dial in for your juice and what tastes best. While it's not very pocket friendly because of the size/weight (to me anyway), if you enjoy it as much as I do, you'll work it out.

Congrats and Happy Vaping.

The IGO with a tank

[/IMG] IMO is the best thing going right now. With a 24mg juice you're good to go. An IGO 1300 with the tank will last me about 24+ hr, good for an all day outing without having to take or carry other cartomizers and batteries! Great throat hit as well!

If you couldn't wait for the Darwin, the Provari is the next best option. Good choice. I would pick up some good cartos, regular and dual coil and enjoy.

It's likely already been stated in the 5+ pages of this thread but the eGo-T is pretty solid. I purchased on back in April and it gave me that 'heavier hit' feeling, batteries typically lasted me about 2 days each, and once I found a juice that worked well, I was pretty happy.

You have to be an EXTREMELY light vaper for an eGo to last two days. Not close to normal. 100 mAh = 1 hour of vaping at best for a light user.
