I just ordered my first ecig kit yesterday, the V2. I read about some problems with customer service, so I hope I didn't make a mistake. I have smoked for about 12 years and I am finally ready to stop smoking regular cigarettes. Im tired of smelling gross, and I know this might sound weird, but I really hate the smell of cigarette smoke. I walk around when I smoke so it doesn't get in my face. Anyway, now that everyone knows Im weird...Im hoping to find out as much as possible about ecigs. Thanks so much!

Welcome to ECF! :)

There was some discussion around the service at V2. Fortunately, the kit is good and you can get parts and pieces for it at other vendors too. I think the main problem was that they don't tell you if something is out of stock, they let you find that out after weeks go by and you still don't have your order so you call them up and they say they don't have it in stock and will ship when they get it.... not good business IMO.

As long as everything in your order was in stock when you ordered it you should be fine (cross fingers now). Good luck! :)

Welcome and congrats!
V2 is a starting point at least it was for me for my initial order, but then I ran into product being out of stock and having to wait and not being told it was out of stock or they would hold the whole order till everything got in.
But you have to start somewhere. I ordered my 808 from them but quickly changed to an joye ego 510 and now I am looking into other gadgets. Keep watching the forum and you will be amazed at what you try and the different companies you order from. Good luck and Happy vaping! :)

Fortunately V2 is a KR808D-1 so you are not locked into them for supplies. You can get plenty of prefilled cartos (soft-caps - easy to add juice to) at Vapor4Life.com as well as blank standard resistance cartos there and at many multi-brand vendors.

Buy some e-liquid - cartos do not last as long as some "name" brands claim. But if you keep one damp, you can get 4-7 days use out of one.

One caution - you probably have automatic batteries and autos are dependent on a drag sensor in the middle of the theaded end. That is right where a carto would drip. So always remove the cart from the battery before adding juice and be extra careful to make sure it is not going to drip on the end of your battery. Hold a tissue on the threaded end hole when adding juice, clean/dry that end and puff into the threaded end with the carto tipped open-end down into a tissue to clear the center air channel (if it has a distinct center channel), sop up any juice that is pooled above the stuffing. I do that anyway with my manual batteries because nobody wants juice on the battery connections but for auto batteries, drips could actually kill the battery.

So grats - KR808D-1 is actually the most popular 2-piece threading. And now you know you don't have to pay V2's prices for parts nor be without cartos when they are having stock problems.

the only problem i had with v2 was a 3 week wait for a 20 pack of menthol cartos(which are still the best menthol i have found). they do have a good product and everyone says they have good customer service, but out of the dozen or so companies ive ordered from since i started vaping, they are the only ones ive had to contact and they just flat out lied to me. the best thing you can do is make sure you have backups so you dont have to go back to the cigs, there are a lot of good companies out there with products ready to ship. good luck, wanting to quit is harder for some people than actually quitting
