I've been a long time vaper but just came across this site a few days ago. I've been on a kanger mega tank & giant tank and have been using a vision spinner 2 battery, 2.ohm coil at 4.0v gives me about 11watts. I would like to take the next step and go to a vv/vw mod. I'm kinda on a budget and only wanna spend about 70 bucks. I'm on 0nic and don't want another hobby and well eventually quit the vape scene. I'm looking for something with 12+ hour battery life. I have a friend who has a mvp and I'm not really into that look.
What do you guys recommend for good quality and up to 15 or 20 watt setup.
Thank you guys.

well hello there....guess last night was slow around here :)

what are you looking for? you say you don't like the mvp...is it the boxiness???
and are you just looking for the mod or are you wanting to buy some tanks/accessories as well...

and are you looking for a mod that has a built in battery like the mvp or a mod that has a replaceable battery like the vamo (where you take the battery out and charge it)?

If you want to go to a vv/vw category, the MVP2 is your best option. Unless you want to venture into the world of DNA devices, of which I know very little. I love my MVP2 and my ProVari.

There is a new kid on the block that's causing a lot of hot debates ATM, the iLeaf. You may want to read about it and, perhaps, wait for PBusardo's YouTube review. Brace yourself for a fun and long read:

For the record--I'm not recommending this device because I have no personal experience with it.

I have to agree there...I've got some on order...but can't vouch for them yet...but reading up on it and all the people here in the forum the few that have some that I've noticed love them....they are the next step up from the mvp v2 but about the size of a bic lighter :D
hoping that they work as well as all the hype :)

I'm standing by. Waiting for Phil to put this device on the scope... :D

Joyetech also promised to release a video:

Welcome to ECF!! If you really don't like the box form factor I recon the Innokin vv V3 would be my recommendation. IIt's the MVP's little sister. It has all the same features but less battery life. It does do pass through charging so you can vape while it charges.

Won't last 12+ hours, though--untethered. :D

I used a ohm calculator from the play store and that how I came up with the watts. How is my tank running lower than 8 watts at 4 volts with a 2.ohm

A 2Ω dual coil atomizer consists of two 4Ω coils configured in parallel. So you should take that into account when calculating wattage. A 4Ω coil at 4v = 4W.

I have no clue what sub ohm is, sorry and thank you for the welcome.

Hey fellow new member!

Sub ohm means a coil with a resistance less than 1 ohm. If you venture into rebuilding you will need an ohm meter to measure your builds' resistance. It sounds like a lot of work but in a few hours you will be building nice coils. Lots of youtube videos out there to help. One thing you must have is a high drain battery. I use sony vtc4 18650s with my mechanical mods (just a battery tube with no circuits). It is rated to 30 amps which will keep you safe when using sub ohms (a .2 ohm coil will draw 21 amps at 4.2 volt....way beyond what I build) There is also an ohms law calculator you can google and input your coil resistance, battery voltage, and it will spit out the wattage and amperage you will draw.

Hope that helps!

Maybe check out the itaste SVD. The reviews are all positive that I have seen. It is a telescoping tube mod so it can use all batteries. Innokin makes a good product. I got a Cool Fire 1 as my second device, and it has never had a problem in 8 months. The SVD is looooooong though, which is the main reason I never got one. Also I think the top end is 15w.

One question. I tried the aerotank mega as a more convenient option to my rda when I am on the go. I have it on a kicked mechanical at 9.5 watts. It collects dust now because I was drinking more juice than I was vaping. I have tried both the wickless and wicked dual coils and the same results. Do the aero tanks require higher wattage? Any kanger coils I have used before burn if you run them that high. I have been using an rda for awhile and forgot how frustrating tanks can be.
