Thanks for the replies and help everyone. It's invaluable for newcomers to all this.

Black note has some followers. ecigarettereviewed is, unsurprisingly, another site that exists for financial gain.
Basically, if you know how to navigate those websites, you can glean information.

NETs are unlikely to work nicely in a tank that has coils of the design you have.
I still have a variety of NET liquids. Mostly US actually.

30ml a week? That's about normal for low-medium power vaping, yes. :)

I am thinking of getting a second kit anyway, in case of emergencies.

Could you suggest a suitable tank / mod for NET liquids djsvapour?

I have to admit, I nearly always use a dripping RDA atomizer for gunky liquid. Certainly the 'haul' of NETs I got from Vapefest (UK, National Vape Meet) went in a dripper. I have a recollection of using a RBA (RTA) tank atomizer, one where you can only build your own coils... probably a Kayfun or similar.

The NET connoisseurs must know what works nice. Maybe the latest and great coils (which are so improved these days :) ) can do it.

It's so refreshing that people like you are so willing to share what they know with noobs. Very different with other "hobbies" with a steep learning curve.

That said, I have a LOT of research to do before I have any idea what you're talking about here. :)

Welcome @DefinitelyQuit and I hope you enjoy your stay!

Your story sounds similar as I started with Cig-A-Likes and went to an iStick TC40W. The secret to the Cig-A-Likes is to have multiple batteries and portable charging!

By the way, I bought some bottles of this today.

Verdict.

Good: Tastes quite "smoke-like" and not sweet
Bad: No throat hit at all; expensive

Oh man. It was like spinning plates!
Tell me about it. Partly, the 'plate spinning' was what upset me so much about the first product I bought.
One battery, one charger, one spare refill.
It took me a few days to realise I needed more... a lot more... so I went back to the shop and cleared the shelves (very costly).
Then I accused them of lying about the puff count, the battery life and the cigarette equivalent claims. Then came the mighty battle when I basically took to the internet and tried to expose the bad assumptions and the absolutely terrible price. They really were the world leaders in ripping people off.
..at which point, the lawyers entered the frame..
At first, I hoped not to back down, but as there is no legal definition of what constitutes the average nicotine content of a cigarette and nobody really knew (from anecdotes or science) how much yield of nicotine from an e-cig could be; that was where I was forced to 'cease and desist' in my thorough trashing of the brand across many platforms.
..which led to my investigation of both their own reviews (which were often faked) and reviews given by self-appointed leeches who wanted the commission and recommended them as the best e-cig.

Sadly, the "review for cash" culture is deeply embedded now in the industry. Some members of the community can't even be bothered to fight it any more. On any given day of the week, well-meaning people actually encourage people to read websites that exist not for the smoker looking to vape, but the newbies lost in the world of dubious marketing and sickening 'creaming off' of money from people that know no better.

It really is my fuel to keep going. One day the industry might be great. There are many genuine people involved but also too many prepared to turn a blind eye.

Gosh... Vape on! :)

PS - Ovale have a decent reputation. Some good vendors have sold their hardware.

The Net ejuices will reek havoc on the premade coils on your tank... someone suggested an RDA for them and that is a good idea..

I don't use strait tobacco juices really anymore but I will get a flavored tobacco from time to time.

Charlie Nobles makes a few:

Tripoli- a Turkish blend tobacco with figs and almonds

Pistachio RY4- a Tobacco with Pistachios, carmel and vanilla

Both very good. And are not net juices

I'll look into a whole new setup after the holidays.

Time to delve into the forums and do some research.

Thank you all again for your excellent guidance.

iStick (30w) - yep
eleaf tank - I think so
Decent kit?
Welcome and glad you joined. That kit is a classic. The gal who sold it to you knew what she was doing. I'm into drippers but I see that your tank may have non sub ohm is an option.

Hey BrotherBob.

Cheers. I got lucky then, I guess.

I'll definitely look into these tobacco juice threads. Thanks a lot.

In other news...after 5 weeks of vaping I just found out that I have to soak the atomizer when I replace it.

Hmmm. Much better now. Much less like a burning cardboard box. Oops.

In other, other news...after smoking cigarettes without a significant break since I was 13, I now understand what non-smokers were talking about when they were complaining about the smell. It really is pretty bad after all.
