Quenton Here. I Quit Smoking after 32 Years and a stage 3 COPD Diagnosis. I quit smoking in April and started vaping in June. I quit cold turkey but the nicotine withdrawals were horrible and they did not get any better after 5 Weeks. I had already decided I was never going to smoke again. I still crave stinky sticks every once and a while but the vape has done an excellent job of replacing them. And getting rid of the withdrawals. Plus every time I want a stinky stick I just go turn on my AC in my truck. Reminds me of why they are so nasty.

I am curious how much vape juice consumption is normal on a sub ohm device. On the ego style (High Ohm Pen) I was going through about 3ml a day. But on the sub ohm it is more like 12ml. or closer to 20ml on a non work day. I am using mostly 3mg liquid.

Hello, Yeah some sub ohm tanks can plough through juice. I use a Pyro RDTA and that thing ploughs through juice, it's why I only use it on the evening. I love the flavour on it but hate that it goes through a lot of juice. To cut down on juice I resorted on using mtl devices like Innnokin Ares and or Berserker RDA mtl for morning and day purposes. I even use single coil RDA squonkers like the Haku Venna, Recurve and Hadaly etc.

For nicotine I use Freebase 10mg, I know it's a bit high but I tend to vape less with it. When I tried to cut down on the nicotine I tend to chain vape more.

Sub ohm uses more juice for sure. I vape 3mg liquid and go through a lot so I do not think your consumption is out of line. I think it depends on your style. You said on a non-work day you can vape more which makes sense to me because it is more readily available. Some people find that vaping at a higher nic level will satisfy them a bit more and they will pick up their vape less if using a higher nic content.

I smoked for longer than you and from a very young age so I now just vape frequently. It is the hand to mouth type of habit. I vape just about the same amount of juice when I was at 6mg and now that I am at 3mg.

If you think you are that type of person (that no matter what level you are at you will be reaching for your vape) then your consumption is fine and so is your nic level.

You can maybe get a bottle of 6mg juice and experiment and see if you vape that if you will pick up your vape less and thus go through less juice. That works for many. Not for me though.

Congrats on your quitting!

My little dtl tanks I can only go through 4-5 mls a day. I have some sub ohms with drop ins that can easily use up 12-15 mls, and RTAs that use more yet.

I don’t worry about that. I don’t worry about who vapes how much, how high... I only focus on getting the nic I need to stay off the smokes.

I quit easily (35 year, 1.5-2 pad) with vaping in about a week. I didn’t have a cigarette for 4 years. Had a stressful situation last Christmas and just needed one cigarette... and ended up smoking daily until May. So for me, once an addict, always an addict, and whatever I have to vape to stay off the cigarettes, that’s what I’m doing.

Normally I vape a medium power device and 5ml is a bad day!

Yesterday, I made up a RDA to drip some new juices. Oh well.... 10ml is easy with that set-up at 30-40 watts. I've lowered the Nicotine and weakened the flavor %.

Works for me. :)
Yeah, all bets are off when I use a rda lol.

Welcome and glad you joined.
RDA here at approximately 1 ml/day at 3.2 ohm coil around 6.8 w.
