Hello and I need eGO V V3 Mega help! Please and thank you!

Hello All,

I'm a newb here (a quick glance at the ol' post count gave that away I'm sure).

Anyway, I'm having an issue with my brand new eGO V V3 mega. I got it in the mail today and I LOVE IT! I got the Protank 2 mini and an assortment of virgin vapor samplers (Sweet summer lemonade is amazing!). Wow, got off track ... so, the problem is this: I plug it in to charge and it does nothing. No little blinking lights, no flashing bars, zilch, zip, zero. It's been on the charger now for about an hour and it's still at one bar. I've tried different usb plug ins on my desktop and my laptop and no difference.

Is it a dud?

I guess it could be the cable. Have you tried using a different USB cable?

Sorry for your trouble... I know it's frustrating to have a new toy and not be able to play with it. Welcome to the forum and good luck.

do you have a wall adapter you can try the usb in to see if that makes a difference?

Sadly I don't have another cable that will work with the V3 .. if only my phone charger would work lol.

I tried the wall charger, and it doesn't work either.

I know anything I charge using usb on a computer takes forever. hang in there and just let it keep charging. If youre using it also is going to take much longer than not using it while charging. But usb ports on laptops take a long time usually.

Well not owning one I don't know if there's a way to see on the display if its charging or not. Does it show some kind of symbol on the display when you plug it in to usb to charge?

I have it hooked up to the desktop usb, and currently using my little eGO 650mah for my vape fix.

I've read the instruction manual and looked it up online, I guess the battery indicator bars are supposed to flash while charging and it's not doing that.

As far as the cable goes... if it takes some type of mini- or micro- USB you could buy one of those for a couple of bucks at Radio Shack or Best buy, or wherever. I'd certainly try that before sending the unit back. But of course that may be what you have to do.
