Problems with an EGO-V V3 Mega and Virgin Vapor

I've been getting some help from this site for a while. Thank you for all the info. I just joined today.

I recently ordered an EGO-V V3 Mega from Virgin Vapor and was very happy when I first got it. Unfortunately 3 days later it just stopped working. Hadn't even put it down since my last vape and went to hit it again and nothing. No response whatsoever. I tried plugging it in, hitting the button 5 times, holding the button down, hitting the button many more times... nada. Major bummer. tank/atomizer work fine on other batteries so it's definitely the battery.

I immediately sent an email to customerservice at virginvapor.com and got no response. Sent another, no response. Today after reading some info on here I tried their new support button on site, so hopefully they get back to me. They look like a quality shop but I'm obviously frustrated with my first experience.

I've settled on two Kanger Mini-Protank II's and have been trying out variable voltage batteries. I have an Ego-C Twist from joytech and it has worked quite well but it's starting to die. I have a couple of old Ego-C and Ts but they are dying out. I'm a pack a day smoker gone e-cig so I use them a LOT. If anyone can suggest good batteries for people who use them very often I'm interested. I like the resistance display on the V3 Mega, the passthrough charge and need a long battery life. I don't want it to run out while I'm out on the town... whiskey makes me crave real cigs I don't like the huge batteries, the V3 was pretty much as big as I want to go.

I make my own atomizers, yes of course I test them first, and am using a build with a 2mm silica wick, Kanthal 34 Gauge AWG A1 Wire .16002mm 21.1 Ohms/ft Resistance wire and two 1mm wicks layered on top. Any suggestions on what I should try next? Is there a limit to how many times I can rebuild the coils for one atty?

Hello, maybe the positive pin on the battery slipped, you could try carefully pulling it up a bit. If you have an electrical meter check to see if the batt is putting out voltage when the button is pressed. Might want to do that before messing with the pin, actually. Bump

The LED controls etc aren't even working and the button light doesn't work when pushed. Tested with a multimeter and it's not outputting at all. I've messed with the pin on one of my old batteries before but the V3 has a depressable center pin and I don't want to mess with it too much before I get a contact back from Virgin Vapor. Which I still haven't received...

I would suggest getting away from disposables like the egos , spinners etc , and going to a mod with replaceable batteries , you'll get better battery life and a more solid hit , SVD , Sigeli V or Zmax etc , if you do a little shopping you can get a much better mod for just a little more money .

Thanks! I'll check those out. Guess I'm ready for the next level. I've been trying to keep it simple but I'm getting more and more interested in the hobby aspect

Sorry to hear about your problem with the v3 mega. I own one too and use it very often, haven't had any problems with it so far. I have had it for a couple of months. I hope your able to sort out your issue.

I'm dissappointed to hear about that with a v3 mega;
I only recently heard about it and it seemed like an alternative to the itaste vv v3.

sounds like somethings wrong with the electronics.

the thing id worry about is if leaking liquid got down inside, and that battery might actually be dangerous if you try to charge it.

I got a response from Virgin Vapor and am going to try a replacement. I like the features and the fact that it isn't the size of a flashlight. That's the one thing keeping me away from the mods with replaceable batteries.

I have this battery, same thing happened. Just quit working. Took it back to the store, he offered 10% off a new one. WHAT!! I only had it just over a month. Finally he agreed to give me a new one. Guess what. 2 weeks later, it stops working too. But, it has power, the display is working, but when I try to vape, the blue button light blinks 5 times, and Im getting no vape. Any suggestions? I'd hate to completely flip out on the vapor store guy again...

Just wanted to let you guys know that I bought and sold 100+ of these to customers. Within 1 month ALL of them came back! Every single one! We simply exchanged them for other devices in our store (often costing more) as a replacement. We contacted our supplier and they said " something went wrong in the circuit board from factory". So we sent them all back and are now selling the older VV2 model. Never had any problems with those. Most likely wherever you got them from knows about the issues. So press them for a different replacement or your money back. Good luck!

Yup the v3 mega is garbage. What a bummer. Think I'm just going to get a vamo... was tempted to get a provari but that's a lot of coin and I'm finding I'm vaping less over time.
