Hello every one!

I just want to thank every one for all the info on the site. i am 29 and have been smoking about a pack a day since i was 18. i couldn't stand the cost any more and the health risk. so i decided to pick up an e-cig. my first pick was an njoy Npro from a local gas station for 20 bucks on Monday. Tuesday i went back and picked up a refill of 5 carts menthol for another 20 bucks... this was before i found this site. but i wanted to test one before i invested more in to it.

Monday i finished off my pack of smokes and tried out the njoy a bit. on tuesday i didn't pick up another pack. the njoy was enough for me. its been 4 days now and i haven't touched a normal cig.

I picked up some e-liquid from a local vendor to refill the carts to hold me over untill i decided on what i wanted to "upgrade" to.

after reading over this site. and following links and checking on vendors i decided on picking up a 510 kit. i also got a drip tip and some more liquid with it.

this is prob my 3rd time trying to quit. the 2 other times even using the gum or patch i was still wanting a smoke. and neither lasted more then week. but this time feels alot different. the gums and patches never really helped me before.

unlike the other times i haven't been smoking at all for the past 4 days. and my body is starting to clean its self... which i kinda can't stand but keep telling my self it will be over soon enough.

well i feel i have rambled on enough. now off to read more. i would love to mix my own liquid. so i'll be hitting the DIY form to read all i can before giving that a go.

again thank you all for the mass amount of info stored in this site. any one that i know that is planing on quitting smoking i will send them here and help them they best i can.

Welcome to ECF!!!! I started smoking at 9 yrs... thanks to grammy:( I have been vaping for a year now thanks to my younger bro....
I do not own a "enjoy" but I do have a battery simular to it .. Glad to here your not smoking:) I think you will like the 510 kit better... I would do all of your searching carefully on DIY. I have been doing this for a bit now and struggled quite a bit in the beginning so if you have questions, ask!!!

Hey I've been trying to quit too for the past year non stop. Every pack I buy i say last pack lol. Then I remembered when the e cig first showing up in malls when I lived in the states and a few of my buddies bought them. I thought they were ......ed at the time but recently I thought it may work to help me quit. So i just ordered the joye ego-t kit from northernvapor.com with some 555 juice. So excited i cant wait!!!

Welcome Lowda9 :) The ego-t is a good choice but you will have a bit of learning curve to get the best out of it. Plenty of folks here that will help out so don't be discouraged if perhaps it isn't perfect right away, you are right to be excited - lots of good things to come for you :)

thank you all for the warm welcomes =)

i read all about the RN 4081 or njoy that i have. i will prob keep it around. as a back up. i actually like it quite a bit, but know there is better out there. and if not better for me i at least want to try my options. for now i like the more slinder looking PVs some of the monster looking mods don't intrest me right now. but who knows. down the road i could be puffing off of a mag light sized PV haha

my plan is to over time lower my nic intake down to 0. but i'm going to take it slow on that. i don't want to have a break down or something and run out and buy some smokes.

For the DIY liquid i might get some stuff and try to make some good tasting 0 nic stuff down the road. ive been reading about the mixing and cutting of the nic to get the right levels. with the calcs it don't seem to hard. but there still is the fact that your messing with a very bad poison. i'll be sure to read all i can and ask any questions before i give any DIY nic liquid a go.

and a little tip i just saw today on a quit smoking site for any one that has just quit and is getting the bad coughing and sore throat. boil a pot of water and drape a towel over your head to kind of make like a tent over the pot. it don't have to drape low enough to touch the stove or if you move it to a table. just enough to make a bubble to help catch the steam. and just breath a few deep breaths. it helped loosen up every thing and i could breath alot better. they said to do it every day or every other day for the first week or so after you quit.

well i can't wait to learn more from all of you and i'm sure i'll enjoy being around good people who are going thru or have gone thru what i am now. makes it a little easier seeing all the success stories
