Hi there!

I decided to take the plunge, and ordered my first e-cig starter kit. Of course, I'm in the same boat as many new members on this forum, in that I didn't discover this forum until after my purchase.

A little about my habit... I'm a ~pack a day smoker. I've been smoking for 20 years, and feel like it's time for a change. I'm not looking to "quit" smoking... Just looking for an alternative.

I went with the Blu starter kit, and hope that it will arrive shortly. Decided to go with the tobacco flavor, and the java jolt flavor. I'm in Canada, and it's coming from the States... And I wasn't aware of the customs issues until I found this place. Still need to master that whole "look before you leap" thing

Anyways... Just wanted to make my introductory post, and will update if/when I receive my shipment, and see how it goes.

Welcome to ECF and don't feel too bad about your first purchase. I purchased a kit (not a Blu) before I found this forum.....it wasn't the best choice but I was able to give up cigarettes using it.

Thanks everyone for the welcome. I've been learning a lot I hope browsing through various threads on this forum. Fantastic resource!

Anyways... I just received a refund from International Shipping, as customs wouldn't let my Blu into the country...

On the positive side, I've already ordered an eGo from Happy Vaper, and it should be arriving today. Have had fun trolling the Canadian Suppliers forum, looking for juice with nicotine, and have found some, and hopefully it all comes together before I leave for vacation on Friday

Will be in San Fransisco next week, and have already told my wife that I'm dragging her to Vaporden, as it's close to our hotel. I plan on picking their brains a bit, and probably walking out with a bunch of new toys to learn how to play with.

Anyways... With hope I'll join the vaping community by the end of the week

They most certainly intercept this kind of thing coming into Mexico - for this reason, I ship all internet purchases to a mailbox on the Texas border (about 5 -6 hours away from us) and collect every other month or so.

It was delivered on Wednesday after ordering it on Monday. Really impressed with the shipping times. Unfortunately it's taking longer to get the juice, so it's just sitting sadly in its box on the counter

My second shipment from Happy Vaper came today. Inside were some 510 cartos (reg and XL), some flavorings, and some no-nic juice in RY4 and coffee flavors.

Decided it was time to give 'er a whirl!

I took the filler out of one of the carts that came with the eGo, and dripped some of the RY4. Was a nice experience. It really does feel like smoking.

Next I opened the box of 510 cartos, and tried to follow the instructions to fill them with the syringe. Took off the cap, and looked inside for the two holes... Couldn't see them. Just saw another gasket down there. Didn't look anything like the pic in the instructions. Feeling like a noob, I emailed Jack at Happy Vaper, asking for clarification on filling.

Guess I had to remove the second gasket, and there were the holes! Filled it up with the no-nic coffee flavor, and gave it a whirl. I coughed my ... off, and now understand what you all mean by throat hit! I'm loving this coffee flavor, and am taking pauses while writing this to hit it

Still waiting for some nic juice I've ordered from a couple vendors, but if it doesn't arrive before I leave tonight for a trip, I may throw a patch on and live with the no-nic juice over the weekend.

I think I've found a great aid in getting off of the stinkies, and can't wait to experiment further!

Again, another shout out to the great service and super fast shipping when dealing with Happy Vaper! Will continue to get accessories and supplies from them!

i too am new i went with Vapor 4 Life's started kit and then got a Diamond XL... looking too soon expand into modding up to 7 volt systems that the KR808's will fit onto.

Cool. Good luck with your kit. Happy Vaper's got a lot of good stuff. You really lucked out when they returned your Blu.

As far as shipping through customs goes, the Chinese vendors really have those customs forms figured out. I have successfully gotten shipments from a few American vendors, but I'm generally careful to avoid getting juice with my orders which is what customs has a problem with.

You can find nicotine liquid in Canada. You want to bring your post count up to 5 (no spam), wait for moderator approval, and then hop over to the Canadian forum for e-liquid suggestions.
