Blu Cartomizer Help

Hello!

I recently purchased the Blu starter kit, Nicotine base, PG, VG and flavorings to start my first DIY.
The first time i attempted it, the old flavors in the cartomizers clashed with the new ones, and needless to say, Java Jolt, Green apple and menthol was not a tasty mix.

I read online that i can run my cartomizers under hot water to clean them out if I'm going to be switching flavors. I did this, but my cartomizers are STILL really wet on the inside. Are there any tips on getting the water out? (I don't have a blow dryer and I'm not interested in buying one).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Some people pop them in the oven at about 200 degrees for an hour or two. Or just let them air dry for a few days. But there's no guarantee they will work properly or taste right after cleaning.

The Blu is 510 threaded, which is the most popular thread type out there. It might be easier to just grab some blanks. But if you're going to do DIY flavoring, it would probably be cheaper in the long run to get yourself a manual battery and an atomizer and learn to drip. I only suggest that because then you're not ruining cartos every time you try a new flavor.

They sell cartomizer dryers they spin around and stuff. I've never used one but have heard others rave about them. They sell one here

Boge 510 low resistance cartos will work on the Blu batteries.

That Carto dryer is for 808 cartos, so won't work for you unless you buy a bunch of thread adapters.

I like pbusardos method, stuffing paper towels in them. The last batch I cleaned I set on top of my pellet stove, which gets warm enough to dry them. I haven't done it, but you could drop them in a sock, tie it in a knot and throw them in your dryer.

Thanks for all your help! i tried the oven trick, and what i found is if you hold the end with the atomizor and whip your hand back and fourth VERY fast and hard (in a similar motion to packing a tin of dip, without hitting it with your finger) the centripetal force sends a large amount of the water flying out the end. To test this i filled an empty never before used cart and filled up the cart that i just dried with the hand whipping technique, and they both filled up with almost the same ammount of liquid, meaning there was about 2-3 drops of water still left in the vape. Not bad considering whipping it back and fourth only took 3 minutes! Hope this helps someone else having the same problem I was.
