I didn't see a general introductory thread so I apologize if that does exist. In any manner, my name is Sean and I'm quite obviously new here. I have lurked a bit around here and decided to join. I'm 29 and i live in Michigan.

I have been vaping for a very short period of time; only a few months now. My fiancé is pregnant and I'm trying to quit the analogs for good. As of now i can only afford the disposables but I hope to upgrade whenever that becomes possible. Unfortunately since I am the only one able to pay the bills, it may be a little while.

In the meantime I could definitely use the knowledge and support from you guys to help ensure that my first big purchase will be the right one for me. The amount of information on here is staggering; it should keep me occupied for a while!

Just a little about me; I'm a GIANT metalhead and I play guitar. Besides music my other main passion is sports, hockey and baseball specifically. I used to play paintball professionally (kind of). I've been on about a pack a day of analogs since 16 up until I started vaping, now I've almost eliminated them altogether.

Looking forward to a new phase in my life and I'm happy to share it all with you folks.

Edit: didn't realise how long this post seemed so...
TL;DR - Name's Sean, quitting analogs, happy to be here, thanks for the welcome :)

Stanley getting a tan this year, and they were kinda in the way:D

We usually take care of our players, but one thing I like about our management is they have no problem tossing someone if they start slackin, even if they are highly rated.

Stevie Y learned from one of the games best in Kenny Holland, and old number 19 has done an incredible job down there in the bluehair state. I was unsure about Cooper but he's done a hell of a job! Too bad we haven't seen much of Vasilevskiy but with the way Bishop has played I don't blame Lightning management. You guys might have to move one of them soon, and i don't see it being Bishop right now.

Hi Sean, welcome to ECF. Good to hear your vaping to get off the cancer sticks. There's some pretty decent tanks and batteries that don't cost much more than the disposables. It's likely that lots of people will be jumping in here and giving you options I'm sure. I was a 1 to 2 pack a day smoker for 40+ years and vaping got me off the death sticks. I use the Ismoka mini tank and the spinner II batteries at a total cost of the system of about 50 bucks, which is not too bad. Lots of basic systems around that price you'll be hearing more soon I am sure.

It is definitely hard quitting smoking and sometimes it feels like I'm all alone; none of my coworkers smoke and only a select few friends smoke. I'm certainly comforted hearing the many stories of people on here who were in the same position that I am in, and being able to see the success you all have had kicking the habit is very empowering.

Thank you all for the encouragement!

Greetings Sean and welcome to the club!

Simply brilliant approach, responsible and thought out well. Even though disposables are not what anyone here would recommend but the fact you are taking the initiative to quit is the main thing and in time, when finances warrant upgrading, your insightful approach will lead you to success. So in the meantime you can learn about the ways you can go to become an ex smoker and experienced vaper and still have money to care for your new family!

Best of luck and congrats on the little one on the way!
