Hey everyone!

New forum member here... Decided it's time to switch to vaping for good, I think it's the smell that got me fully motivated (hiding the smell from GF and family etc, again and again...).

So my friend let me use his joyetech VTC mini, and I loved it. I felt it could satisfy the need completely. Long time smoker, about 15 years, usually a pack a day.

My question is, is the joyetech VTC mini still a valid option? Are there better Vapes since then? I've tried the Evo AIO a while ago but that didn't really do it for me... I Think the VTC is a better option.

Was planning on picking one up tomorrow, any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

It's a bit dated but it's definitely good. I say you should get it since you have already established that you like it.

Thank you! I mean... I was just going to go to a decent vape store in NYC, maybe they don't sell that one anymore? Is there an alternative that's pretty much the same specs etc?

Hi and welcome!
If it helps you to stop sucking on a miniature exhaust pipe then it's a valid option.
There may be better devices but that can wait until later, the vtc mini is good enough to start off.

You'll enjoy not smelling bad and more importantly not having to be sneaky will improve your relationships, dirty little secrets are just as poisonous as the smoke ;)

I would definitely be concerned that you would not be able to find it in a store. You'd save a lot of money and hassle if you got it online, I should think

Is it this one with the Cubis tank?
Joyetech Evic Vtc Mini With Cubis Tank

or this one with the Tron tank?
Joyetech eVic-VTC Mini With Tron Tank

or this one with the Ego One tank?

Wow this community is fast.

I believe the one I used was even before the LCD panel on the front...! I don't remember any digital numbers, body wise it looks like the cubis though...

Thank you! I really just don't want to go into a store and get taken advantage of, price wise, for the flavor of the month.

Hmm now I am very confused.

Did the device you used have a very tight draw like smoking a cigarette?

Can you contact your friend and find out exactly what has? Make sure to ask him(her) exactly what coils they buy.
Ya that might be a better option. Maybe there was a LCD panel and I just didn't notice it, because I literally wrote "Joyetech VTC mini" on my phone a few months ago and finally found the screenshot of it. He did mention it was an older version though. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Welcome to ECF, I don't own that equipment, so I will just wish you luck on your vaping endeavors. If you liked your friend's setup, you could get more information to help you choose. You may find yourself sticking with that device or moving to other setups (it's good to have at least one backup setup). I'd suggest something similar to your friend's vape to start though, if you enjoyed it. Might want to ask him what type of juice he uses as well (brand, VG/PG ratio and nicotine level). The right juice is equally as important as your setup, in my opinion.

Hope you find vaping success....

Anna

Thanks for everyone's feedback!

Turns out they had the newer model in store. Joyetech VTCtwo Mini. With a cubis tank. Looks beautiful and sleek. Up to 75 watts, I'm thinking around 40w for now, with a 4mg liquid that tastes like tobacco...

Pretty sure it was overpriced, but... Whatever. Needed it today. Feels like the right choice...!

Always have been into modding and tweaking stuff, mixing and matching components, so I think it's a good start.

Thanks again for the welcome!
