I just bought a product that says "e-cigarette" on the base, the box says "e-health cigarette" the filters that have the nic in them have a tinfoil area that is punctured by the atomizer. the filter box says "CE RoHS SGS" What is happening is the cig is not making alot of vapor...just a very slight puff. It seemed to work fine for about 3 hours...I recharged...put a new filter on & still just a wussy little puff. I have since bought a pack of cigs & am frustrated with this.

Please help a newbie!:(

Let me guess you bought in a brick&motar store. I wont speak bad about what you purchased cause I have no idea what it is or ever heard of it. I suggest you get a starter kit like a eGo or Riva. Or better yet consider this http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/160858-3-7-volt-510-box-mod-2-14500-trustfire-batteries-charger-30-free-shipping-plus-20-ml-juice.html everything you need but a atomizor (get a LR atomizor). You can buy a atomizor or even cartos here. Boge Blank 306 Soft Tip Cartomizers - Avid Vaper

The general rule of thumb is:

• cigarette-looking e-cigs rarely work well
• if it gets you off tobacco cigarettes it's worth it
• if it doesn't work for you (and it's rare for that e-cig to work for more than a casual smoker) then the value is in the fact that it got you here :)

One kit that most people seem to agree on is the Riva510 lite bundle from Liberty flights for $30 (when you click on the 20% banner top of the page): Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Riva 510

If it were me (and it was) I'd get the Riva510, plus add on a 510 drip tip and a couple of boxed of 510 cartomizers or Boge 510 cartomizers if they have them back in stock -- and of course about 60ml of various e-liquids in different flavors and strengths.

The Riva battery lasts about 8-12 hours between charges and if you add on the other items you can try your e-cig three ways:

• cartridges
• cartomizers
• drip tip

So you can get a feel for which method you like best (of the three main vaping methods, but there are others too).

Good luck! :)

e-Health is a super-mini and super-minis are weak. I was a lights smoker and I started on a super-mini M402. It got me started and through the first several weeks. Buy some eliquid - you can add eliquid to those carts - I am assuming you have the 3-piece, similar to M402 - you take the cart off and stick an unbent small paperclip into the mouth hole to push up the juice cup so you can add juice. Don't over fill - it should look damp on top, not a puddle, and the stuffing should reach the top of the juice cup. Then the trick is pushing the juice cup back down into the mouthpiece without pressing on the stuffing. I find it easiest with M401 to use the silicone plug the cart was sealed with but I don't think e-Health comes with those. You could use a small piece of dowel or try to carefully push only on the edge of the juice cup.

If you want a better slim ecig (though not quite as slim as a super mini) - look at minis. The two most popular and supported are Joye 510 and KR808D-1

510 comes as a 3-piece (uses atomizer and cart), lots of blank cartomizers available for use as a 2-piece (cartos are disposable larger cart with atty inside and if you fill a carto well and keep it damp you should get at least 4-7 days use out of it). 2-3 hour battery life at best. With the 1-inch longer 510 mega xl batteries it is 138mm long with atty+cart, about 128mm long with standard cartomizer and gets 3-5 hour battery life at best. Or you can step up to the fat-battery model Ego or Riva 510 and get both 6-8+ hour battery life and the ability to use harder-hitting LR (low resistance parts). 510 is the most supported threading for cartomizers, atomizers, accessories, adapters

KR808D-1 is the most supported 2-piece model. It uses cartomizers and there is a good selection of both prefilled and blank cartos. Prefilled is just a convenience because a carto doesn't really last as long as a pack of smokes - whether you but prefilled or blank cartos, you will be adding eliquid to keep ti damp and to get at least several days use out of a carto. Though a 2-piece, it can be used with DSE901 atomizer and carts or a couple of other atomizers w/ adapter needed. W/ standard batteries it is 120mm long and has about 3-5 hour battery life. The fat batetry longer-charge models are CigEasy's Elegant Easy and LeCig's Pigcig.

Those are the 2 most supported ecigs. There are rebranded models like Volcano brands' 510 the Magma, and NoSMokeVA's kits with their PCC and for KR8 there is Vapor4Life.com (colors and prefilled cartos) and some others. The base models can be bought cheaper at places like LiteCigUSA.net and Cignot.com for real Joye 510, LiteCigUSA.net and Vaporleaf.com for KR808D-1

Whatever you get, get eliquid for refilling

Don't get down over it. Congrats on your first step in getting analog free. Most all Ecigs that are as small as a analog tend to suck pretty bad when it comes to getting vapor. For many of us that is where we started and for some they are happy to stay there and vape away with little to no vapor at all. If your interested in getting the most vapor you can then you need to invest in a Ego and some Low Resistance Attys. If you want to get something even better then get a Mod like a Prodigy V3 or a Silver Bullet or one of the many Big Batt mods that run at 6Volts.

If you do get into Low Resistance or Big Batt Mods then you also need to pick up some drip tips and start dripping. 3 drops at a time every time the flavor changes or you get a burnt hit. Good Luck.

Rosa is dead on right! For a modest investment, it really will let you know what e-cigs can do for you.

Man, this is a great forum!...I expected 1 or 2 responses...Thank You
I really am taking this e-cig thing up because of finances & health as I smoke 2 packs a day. I was told that these are far cheaper than real cigs...but now it seems that it is about the same or a little more, as a cartridge = 3-5 cigs & a pack of 5 is $4 +shipping (I am basing this on 3 cigs) plus I like the idea of it looking like a real cig, I saw one that looked like a moab bomb & was pink. From what im hearing the cig lookalikes are weak & the batteries might last a couple of hours, I guess I will get used to the odd shape & weight. As for cost, are they actually ALOT cheaper than real cigs? The people that I bought my $25 set from sells the "filters" in packs of 10 for $5 & the "filter" is supposed to last for about 150 puffs...that really caught my eye. I will be obviously getting a better rig that what I have now, any advice on the cost end of this in comp to real cigs?

The savings come from refilling them with your own bottles of e-liquid, plus when you do that then you get to pick from 1000's of flavors and customize your nicotine strengths to suit your needs (or mix them up throughout the day).

If you just buy pre-filled stuff then you are likely to spend about the same as smoking. If you MAKE your own e-liquid or do any kind of DIY you can actually save TONS, TONS of money. Some DIY is extremely easy to do, here's a super-easy DIY that anyone can do once they figure out what flavors they like:

Go to freedomsmokeusa (coupon code 'freedomsmokeusa')and get 120ml of your favorite e-juice (about $40) in the 36mg strength and opt for the 'double the flavor' option. Now get some PG or VG (about $5-$10 for a ton of it) and mix the two together 50/50 - now you have made 240ml of 18mg juice for only about $50.

240ml will last the average vaper about 80 days - so now you're vaping for about $0.63 per day. That's where the real savings come in. But even if you just refill using the e-liquid as it is without doing any DIY, at $40 for 120ml vaping will cost about $1 per day. Or if you buy the more expensive juices, say $1 per ml, you still only pay about $3 per day.

The longer you vape and the more you figure out what flavors etc you like and the more comfortable you are getting into e-liquids, mods, diy and all that, the more money you end up saving.

Hello people! I am new to this e-cigarette scene and I just received a e-health cigarette as a gift. Now, even with a new cartridge, there is no vapor. Is the atomizer spoilt? Do you guys/gals recommend me to purchase additional atomizers or to go for a new kit as I read that e-health cigarette is not really that good? Thanks in advance.

I would recommend that you get a better kit. Your experience is pretty normal for e-health cig users. I think you should get 5 posts, wait an hour, and then ask to join the singapore vapers forum. They can help you figure out what to buy that you can safely get sent to you since they are banned in Singapore. SG Vapers

In regards to small cig style units, I've been very happy with my KR808 stuff. In particular the Bloog Maxx Fusion puts out a ton of vapor for its size. Bloog is having a bit of trouble keeping them in stock at the moment due to thier extreme poularity, but it's worth the wait. I've tried an Ego and just didnt care for the size or the maual button, the Maxx Fusion isn't particularly cheap but at present it's considered by many to be the best cig style pv available.

Wow. That's fast. I am already trying to join SG Vapers but have to wait for 5 posts to be able to post there. It is not easy to get the e-health kit in already. But seems like I have to invest in another one. Thanks for your help!

Oh i like this idea! I'll have to do this once i've nailed down some flavors I like. :thumb:

What is "PG or "VG"? I am really starting to dig this...If this is the next step in saving my lungs & my $$$ I will spend some cash getting what is correct. Also do they have clove flavored juice yet?...I used to smoke alot of Djarums back in the 80's & it would be cool if it was made, cloves are lung executors & an alt would be widely accepted.

I'm new here too so I can't explain it. I can give you this... The ECF Library The top 6 stickies helped me a lot. And I have seen clove juice but I couldn't tell you where.

PG and VG are the base liquids that we use to make our e-juices.

PG is most common (probably what you got in your starter kit): brings out the flavor of your juice, brings out the peppery throat hit from the nicotine in your juice, doesn't provide as much plumes of vapor as the VG though.

VG is offered by most e-juice places: mutes the flavoring and the throat hit of your juice, has a sweet flavor all on it's own, provides huge plumes of vapor.

Most vapers like to get their e-liquids in a mix of both, usually about 80%PG and 20%VG. If you like to mix your own or dilute a strong mix like I suggested above, you can get your premixed juice in 100% pg and add VG to it that you bought from walmart. Cool.
