Hi, my name is Mike... I have been smoking for 26 years, since I was 12. Not too long ago I learned of e-cigs... I did some research and decided to try it. What I did was head to Walgreen's and picked up a Blu disposable. I liked it. So my quest begins...

My boss saw me vaping and ask what it was so I told him about it. He decided to buy a Blu starter kit. He tried it a few times but did not like it. I ask if he wanted to sell the practically new kit... he said I could just have it. I used it and still do... as a back-up. The batteries don't last and the carto's run out pretty quick. Every one-two hours I was switching and charging batteries... a pain to do when you deliver pizza. I tried 8-10 different disposable brands before my boss gave me his Blu starter kit. A brand new Blu disposable suited my palate the best so I was happy when he gave me his.

Being frustrated about carto's and changing batteries often I told my girlfriend about a kit I saw at a local smoke-shop. She surprised me with it one night. I do love her so. What was in the kit was a CE4 Clearomizer, USB charger and an eGo-T 650mAh battery. It also came with 10ml of PG e-juice. It tasted like alcohol but was labeled as mocha... straight in the trash. A couple of weeks before I got this I ordered some VK Boge 510 2.0ohm blank carto's to use with my Blu batteries. They worked well so when I got the 650 battery I tried it on... surprisingly it is better than the clearomizer. Not as harsh, smooth but still a great throat hit and LOTS of vapor. The flavor is less "chemical" than the clearomizer as well.

I also ordered some Johnson Creek Red Oak e-juice when I got the carto's. 100% PG free and it makes a difference in my throat for sure. So, my current set-up is as follows:

eGo-T 650mAh battery
Vapor Kings 2.0ohm 510 carto
Johnson Creek Red Oak "Domestic" e-juice

I look forward to reading many post and soaking in the knowledge here. I have some ideas for customizing my set-up so I will be chiming in and asking questions.

Hey Mike welcome to the forums and glad you have made the switch. From the looks of it, your not a complete newcomer when it comes to the e-cig world.

If you love cartos, you should give these a try Stardust Clearomizer - Blue . I love this more than all of the most complex Rebuildable Tanks out there and this thing is pretty easy to maintain. There are other sites that offer this but this is where I got mine

I also see you have Johnson Creek e liquid(i think). This was like my third bottle of juice I ever ordered.

As I'm writing this I guess I didn't read your post as well as I thought and just noticed your clearomizer... What a noob I am
What kind is it?

You will still be super impressed with a stardust tank, they are about 6$ and you can't go wrong for this price
Welcome again

I think the one I have looks like a "vision" but who knows, I am pretty sure my ego is a knockoff Joyetech as well. Thanks for the link, I may try that Stardust soon, I do like knowing how much liquid I have. Yes, the e-liquid is Johnson Creek. I will be trying the Red Oak Tennessee Cured next. I have been vaping for about a month now.

Congratulations on quitting the cigs. I started with Blu, as well. I still use my Blu Premium 100 kit sometimes. I have some egos and ego twists and I recently bought a Varitube-3. I use my egos most often. I like gadgets and gizmos, so I've tried a lot of setups.

I stick with VG only juice myself. Good thing I started with Blu, which uses VG only juice, because it turns out I am highly sensitive to juices that have PG in them. I also like using cartomizers the best. I recently started using cartomizer/tank setups, sometimes. My favorite cartomizers are Smok 1.7 ohm XL single coils. They seem to fill and wick easier than Boges and I like the draw on them better.

I have my eyes on several things for sure... the eGo twist is one of them. I am trying to find a real nice case for everything as well. I know I want to carry a few carto's with me and a couple small bottles of juice just in case I want to shake things up. I actually vape the JC Domestic all day long and I like it but the JC original is what got me started... with that slight caramel and vanilla in it so I want to try the Red Oak Tennessee Cured as it is almost identical but with a lil more vapor production. I wouldn't mind some kind of tray to use and display all my stuff on my desk... can't find anything cool though.

Welcome to the vaping world Mike and congratulations on quitting the smokes!

You sound like you started pretty much like I did. I'm trying to figure out if I like cartos or clearos better. After using the clearo that came with my eGo kit I tried some cartos. Clearos are easier for me so I ordered a Vision Vivi Nova to try for a month; next month I will try a carto tank.

I don't really care how I get my nicotine, as long as it doesn't come with a bunch of nasty smoke ;)

The quitting smoking isn't the hard part... it's the physical habit that makes it rough or after certain activities but it boils down to will power. If deep down you really don't want to quit then you wont, plain and simple. I am not an "I tried" or "I will try" kind of guy. You either do something or you don't, either yes or no... you see where I am going. I want to smoke, I just don't want to smoke traditional cigarettes... e-cigs are great and customizable... right down to the amount of nicotine you want. I don't offend my girlfriend when I kiss her, my house doesn't stink like a bar, my car smells fresher, my clothes smell great... it's a win win. I still get what I want and the world around me is happier too.

Short but true story:

I lived at my moms for about 4 years, she smokes a pack a day. I smoked a pack a day, my sister smoked a pack a day and my moms boyfriend smoked heavily. Most of the time I was in my room where I smoked... a lot. When I decided to move out I was gone for about 2 weeks to secure a place to live in another state. When I came back for the rest of my stuff including my bed, I was shocked. My mom also decided to move to another house when I moved out. So now I am back at her house after two weeks and it's empty except for my stuff and a few other things in the house. The first thing I noticed was the smell... the A/C had not been run in 2 weeks so the odor had time to melt into everything. I packed up my things and finally went for my bed... I kid you not, the mattress was WET! The odor of cigarettes in the mattress was awful... I actually slept on that bed for a long time. I left it behind. From that point on I never smoked indoors. Even now my gut turns when I deliver to houses where people smoke indoors.
