i am very quickly finding that out. :) since the innokin itaste SVD doesn't seem too pricey and comes with tanks, coils, & atomizers, i think i am going to give it a shot. i found a pretty good deal on ebay - $65 for a new starter kit from a very high rated seller. i'm tempted to go all out and buy 2, but for now i am going to stick with one, i think, since i am new to this whole thing!

thanks everyone for the very helpful advice. i'm so glad i found this place!!

what do you mean by 'not a removable battery'? does that mean that you need to recharge it using one of those thingees you screw your battery into, like i have to do with my eGo batteries? sorry... i am COMPLETELY ignorant of e-cig-ese. i'm looking at a listing on ebay that apparently contains multiple 'battery tubes.' one of them is TELESCOPING which i am for some reason stupidly thrilled by. i would think that mean it takes an external battery, but again, i don't understand any of this stuff all that well. i think that's part of why i've stuck to my dummy-friendly eGo so far.

i guess i should just confess that although i think the square-shaped rigs look cool when OTHER people are carrying, the design wouldn't be the type i would prefer for myself. something i can throw against a wall would be a bonus, though. between the dog, my clumsiness & outdoorsiness, and my boyfriend and roomie's 18 year old constantly vying to 'borrow' (ie ABUSE) my e-cigs, durability is a good thing.

People have different tastes and needs. Just look at pic's here on ECF and watch vid's on you-tube and you can find something that suits you well. There are all kinds of vape equipment. The e-LVT is hard to beat. I think there is someone on ebay selling them for $59.95 or something like that. Go to you-tube and type in "e-LVT". Robert Ellis has a good vid - he even chunks it into the toilet!

well, i went ahead and placed an order. the company i purchased from was offering a free shipping deal on a purchase of 3 or more items, so i bought the SVD starter kit, a purple (my favorite color!) protank 2 w/replacement coil pack (from what i could tell, you fill the iclear tanks included with the SVD from the top, and i prefer bottom-filling tanks since they're all i really know), and a pair of 18650 batteries with a charger. i'm on vacation in NH right now, so the stuff should arrive just in time for me to enjoy it when i get home. :)

this will be my first time ever using a mod, so wish me luck, guys. :) i'm excited to be able to buy some of those fancy hand-blown artisanal drip tips they sell at my local vape shop (vapor cafe in ephrata, really cool place). i've been ogling those tips since i first visited the store about 2 years ago, but never had a rig that would justify purchasing any of them.

thanks so much for all of your advice and for sharing your knowledge with me. i really appreciate it. i'm probably going to need more advice soon when i inevitably mess up with the SVD, haha!

rc3po, i might have to look into one of those e-LVTs, if only to carry around on hiking / creek-stomping trips and whatnot. durability is a huge selling point for me since i am such a klutz. and i spend a lot of time outdoors! i accidentally dunked all the way into a swimming hole with my eGo on my neck once... thank goodness after laying it out to dry for over 24 hours, it worked just fine, like nothing had ever happened - but it was a nerve-wracking 24 hours!

good, now when the boyfriend or the 18 year old want to use my rig i will just direct them to one of my eGo batteries. i intend to keep them as a backup, or just to use whenever i'm in the mood or the scenario seems appropriate, but i'm really excited to be upgrading. :)
