Hello all,

I am new to the forums and new to the world of vaping. I have smoked a pack a day on analogues for about the past 12 years and I am hoping that will end now! My name is Chad and I currently live just outside of Chicago. Next month we will be venturing back west to the mountains of Utah! I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself and maybe get to know some others in here.

I was suckered into one of those free trials almost 2 weeks ago (prior to finding this site). It has still yet to arrive and when it does I will be sending it directly back!

After going through some of the video tutorials on the site, I ordered a 510 cartomizer starter kit from Jason at ElectroNicStix. I placed the order late Friday afternoon then realized I had some questions. I shot him an email and he responded within 15 minutes! He also informed me that I had ordered the wrong additional cartomizers and switched my order accordingly! Today I was very pleasantly surprised that it arrived! Not only was everything in there that I had ordered but he tossed in a couple extra bottles of juice! I am normally not big on doing reviews but Jason really went above and beyond which is a very rare thing these days!!

I am sure that I will have plenty of questions going forward and I am looking forward to being a part of the e-cigarette-forum family!

Chad

Welcome to ECF and congrats on your effort to give up the analogs! It's REALLY easy to do with vaping. I smoked for over 30 years and gave it up quickly. I'm now on day 22 with no withdrawls and no desire to burn an analog. There's two main keys for converting:

1) Find a juice you REALLY like. If you don't like your juice, you'll be smoking analogs again.
2) A dependable PV. You must have at least 2 PV's that will work each and every time you feel the desire to smoke. I actually have 4 devices once of them being a pass-thru that works come hell or high water. Then I have a Phidias (you can forum search it) and two 510 mega's. Between all of these I am able to vape no matter what happens.

Good Luck!

Hi and welcome!
I realized after less than a week on ecig that throat hit and nic are two most important factors for me.
If i don't get enough nic then I crave for analogs. I've been using 18mg with the kit I ordered.
Today, I got 30mg and 24mg of juices from FreedomSmokeUSA and that just hit the spot! No more analog craves after a meal! The 30mg actually gave me a little buzz. (1 pack 'n change/day b4 vaping)

Welcome Chad! I am new to ECF and vaping myself. I never even knew what throat hit was until i started reading up on PV's (I smoked analogs for about 10 years now) But after vaping for the first time i get it. Keep reading and keep trying new things. There is so much variety out there its just a matter of finding what works best for you!

So more PG = More throat hit, More VG = less throat hit? Is it true that vg makes more vapor as well?

Welcome Chad!

I too am new here, not so new to vaping though... and yes, VG does give you more vapor... I prefer VG liquids as I really like exhaling that big plume of vapor. Makes it feel more "real" in my world... I find some of the higher nic juices also give more TH as well as the PG. Just experiment with different juice blends and flavors and you are sure to find what works for you.

Cheers!
