Just signed in today.
I have been vaping for 2 years now. It was hard the first year for me but, haven't touched the stinkies for a year now. I started with a starter kit and within 2 months purchased a SVD with a Kanger tank. Moved to the Aspire, then went into mech mods. I actually have many more other tank systems too but, I will not list them. The Aspire's are my favourite.
I wanted that flavour everyone was talking about. So after about 8 months I picked up a Panzer mod and Patriot RDA. My first coil was a 28 gauge dual coil with 8 wraps. Took me about 3 tries with the organic cotton before I figured out how tight/loose it needs to be. The first time I vaped this thing was an eye opener. I tried to do a mouth to lung, and it was way too hot but, wow, the flavour was amazing. So I tried a lung inhale, that made me cough a little. This didn't last too long and felt like I was chucking clouds after about a day (no where near what all the people do on the internet, it was still amazing to me, I was really excited, fun fun!).
At this point I had a lot to learn. I like to tinker around so I just kept buying RDAs, trying out new builds, and watch every youtube video I could to learn. Sometimes I would build a coil about 3-4 times on an RDA in a day to find the sweet spot for flavour/vapour.
Some of the stuff I have are:
Mods:
Panzer Mod (18650)
King Kong Mod (26650) - I did a forced Patina on this. Used the mustard and salted ammonia method.
VV/VW:
Siegeli 100W - I really like being able to change the wattage as you can really tune in the flavour and if you want, crank it up and fog up the house.
RDAs:
Patriot V1 - (drilled out the post and air holes) I like the Patriot, easy to build on. Glad this atty is what I learned on, I still use it every week.
Plumveil V1 - (drilled out the post holes) I like this guy for flavour but, the side negative post holes allow too much juice to leak.
454 Big Block - This thing is amazing, I don't use the drip tip it came with, I find the flavour is great with it, the only problem is the juice condenses at the bottom and collects, then that gets drawn in when you vape. I'm running 4 twisted 28 gauge 7 wrap 45 degree slanted coils, similar to what Maestro Vapes did. I just tucked them under the screw heads instead of using the plate. Unbelievable!!
Vertex V1 - Flavour is phenomenal, I absolutely love this thing, I have to get the V2.
Dark Horse - I can build this for flavour but, we all know why people buy this. Running dual coils, 6 wraps of 4x twisted 26 gauge. You can put some large builds in this and not worry about the center post spinning. Wide open, this thing is nuts!
Innokin VF - (I hate this thing) Got suckered in to buying this as my second RDA. The air flow makes no sense and building on it is a pain due to the post holes, they go this way and that.
TOBH (26650) - This thing produces great flavour and an amazing amount of vapour as well. Very versatile RDA, right now I'm running a zipper coil on it and couldn't be happier.
So hello to you all. I'm glad I joined finally. I want to take this hobby to the next level and I don't know a better place to learn than from all of you.
Thanks!
