My name is Steven and I am a complete noob when it comes to vaping. I used Blu-Cigs for awhile and went right back to smoking, there just wasn't enough there for me in nicotine strength or vapor. I recently decided to try again so I went Friday 3/22 to my local vape shop and decided to take the plunge. I did some research the night before but damn the amount of data available is overwhelming so I just decided to let the guy at the shop help me make some decisions. I purchased a Kangertech Subvod kit and after some hits and misses with too high juice nicotine levels, I'm now on my way.

As I like to say. Anybody who ditches BLU gets a huge thumbs up in my book. :thumb:

I used a subvod today. I bought it for the tank really (only $8 more for the complete boxed kit) and it's a super little 'pen' mod.

The tank is a gem, an absolute star of the Nano-sized world. (18mm)

I really like my subvod, the only thing I can complain about is having to reduce my nicotine level, but anything to get off real ciggs is a plus.

Hello and welcome to the forum @chopsman00. Glad to have you here!:)

If you are interested in learning more about e-cigarettes (and all the parts and pieces) below are some blog posts by ECF member @Baditude that I highly recommend for someone new to vaping.
Here are a few more links from New Members Information <= Link covers many topics. Here are two of them:
Nicotine

A "general guideline" for nicotine concentration in e-liquid to the number of cigarettes smoked per day. If you are subohming (resistance under 1.0Ω) cut these nicotine levels by at least 50%.

06 mg = 10 cigarettes or less
12 mg = 20 cigarettes
18 mg = 30 cigarettes
24 mg = 40 cigarettes

eLiquid/Juice

PG = Propylene Glycol - the "flavor carrier" of e-liquid. A secondary source of "throat hit", but not as strong as the nicotine concentration. Some people have a sensitivity or even an allergy to PG. It's very thin.

VG = Vegetable Glycerin - the "vapor maker" of e-liquid. Used as a sweeter in many food sources, and also as a skin emollient. It's very thick. Often labeled just "Glycerine"

PG and VG are often used together in different ratios in e-liquid. For example, a 50/50 PG/VG ratio. Many juice vendors offer a range of different ratios as far as PG/VG.

Some great advice there. I would have liked to have come here before I purchased the sub ohm rig. I had to go back to the shop to find out that the nicotine would have to be cut. I was getting throat punched every time on a nic level of 15 . I would have liked to have a little higher nic level but it is, what it is and I'm gonna stay with my Kangertech until I can move up to maybe a mod.
