Hello everyone,

I'm new in the world of vaping, i bought an EGO AIO 3 month ago and i've been very happy with it ( only 2 cigarette smoked the day i bought it...nothing after that day 3 month ago :) )

So now i've just switched yesterday to a more complex ( well complex for me at least ) setup with :
- A digiflavor Siren V2 24mm
- A tesla nano 120w

So i'm here to discover more tips and tricks about vaping and to fix a few problem that i have with the new setup ( siren v2 in particular )

And sorry for my english, it's not always perfect as it's not my native language

Good vaping everyone !

Hello

Thank you for your fast reply i was about to post my problem on the siren 2 topic

I wanted to build a flavor setup to enjoy my eliquid at their best and...The main problem is a lack of flavor
To give you an idea the flavor with my ego aio is way better
i can still recognize the liquid i'm vaping with the siren, but the flavor is way lower...
i used the coil that i received with the siren 2 ( don't know what material it is, i'm using KA mode on the box, so wattage between 13 to 20 ) and i used cotton bacon v2
However even after watching numerous review and wicking tutorial...it was still the first time that i build a cotton, so it's higly possible that i messed somewhere

Yeah, getting down just the right amount of cotton isn't easy, if you'd have nailed it 1st try I'd be amazed ;)
It sounds like you're not getting enough liquid flow to your coil, that can mute the flavor considerably.
There's different kinds of cotton that behave differently, some are swelling, some stay about the same and some even collapse a bit.
I think the cotton bacon is in the 1st category, so if it just about fits in the siren feeding channels it might be too much after soaking up the juice. I'd try with a bit less cotton in the channels, you just need enough that your liquid doesn't flood the deck.

We don't know how much you raised your coil, ie how far it is from the air hole, this also has an influence on the flavor. The farther it is the harsher the vapor, more throat hit, less flavor.

Well, some folks do find the flavor on the Siren V2 to be muted. I use strong fruit flavors in there and I really like it. I do think you have to find the right juice. It may also take some time to play with your wicking and coil. I believe the coil that comes with it is kanthal, 1.0 resistance. Could play around with resistance some, or build a TC capable spaced coil and see if TC improves your flavor. Some people just plain do not care for this tank. I like it a great deal, but it takes some experimentation at first to get good flavor out of it.

Best of luck,

Anna

I'd say that the coil is about 1mm from the airflow
the box measure the coil at 1,07ohm

i do also use strong fruit flavor and sometimes taste like chocolate; custard
i'm using a lot of liquid like red devils ( a clone from red astair...but still different ) or heisenberg ( most of the time liquid with fruit + menthol and/or absinthe ), the fruity part on the siren 2 is indeed muted while the menthol/absinth part is there ( more or less ), almost all of them in 6mg nicotine

i'll try to use less cotton when i'll rewick tonight, i really hope to manage to get clear taste on this atomizer

Thank you all for all the informations that you've provided, i'll make sure to read them during the week. particularly the rayon wick, never heard of that, i'll have a closer look on it

Feedback on my problem : a friend of mine made me a new coil ( nichrome 0,73ohm with spaced wire ), taste are a little bit better, but still not as good as my AIO
I also had my first leak yesterday ( yay \o/ ), probably my fault as i've tried tu put less cotton, also tried a few minutes ago a 80% PG juice...hello leakfest...even with the airflow closed, it leaks from the bottom of the airflow ring, so between the atomizer and the box...i've redone the cotton and look like it's fixed...for now
[EDIT] nope, not fixed, still some liquid between the box and the ato, but no gurgling effect when i vape...weird should i avoid 80% pg liquid ?
by the way is there is any danger from the box in that case ? or should i put an o-ring between the box and the ato to protect the 510 pin ?
did anyone already had leaks from the top cap trough chimney ? when i have to redo the cotton with a tank full i remove the drip and put the tank upside down, seems to leak when i do that.

I had a long discussion with a seller in a shop where i buy some of my eliquid, said that the cause of my trouble were probably the liquid that i use ( lots of menthol and absinthe + fruity ), the menthol absinthe are muting the fruity taste preventing me from having a vivid taste, he advise me to change my eliquid and made me taste some liquid, he told me to come back when the coiling specialist will be there so we will try my atomizer to see if there's a real problem with the siren 2 or if it's just me :)
( damn there was a rainbow of taste in my mouth when i walked out of the shop that day :D )

All in all, after viewing so many video review on youtube and after reading so many test on the internet, i'm pretty sure i'm the one responsible for the lack of flavor, i just have to pinpoint the cause
My gf who also vape on a Endura T20s tried my siren 2 and said she was able to identify more of the different flavor in a multi aroma liquid, which she couldn't do on my aio.
