Hello all! Even though this is my first post, I've been browsing around this forum before I got my first e-cig in the mail.

After researching this forum and a few other places, I decided on the Joye 150. I got it in the mail 2 days ago and I have to say I'm pretty happy with it, but I notice a distinct inconsistency with vapor production (sometimes I'm afraid that my atomizer has crapped out, then some time later it starts working again!! :?:) My only other complaint is a 'weird' taste, but I only have one 10 ml of menthol, so I'm very excited to try other flavors. I'm also going to be buying a cartomizer pretty soon since I heard some pretty good reviews for them.

So that's my story so far and I look forward to getting to know everyone here. Happy vaping!

I love, love, LOVE my LR Cartomizers... try one of those as well.

Sounds like maybe you're hitting it too often? Like the wicking material doesn't have time to draw more fluid into the coil... I did that at first, too. Try taking more time between drags. Next time it seems to be "dying", try removing the cart and adding a drop or two of juice directly to the bridge of the atomizer. That'll prove or disprove my "drying out" theory....

As you get used to vaping, you will get more consitant hits. There's the learning how to draw, how often to draw, how much to fill, when to fill, ect... There's a learning curve, but it won't take you long. Congrats on your journey and welcome to EFC! If you have questions, just ask. Lots of nice folks here ready to help.

Thanks Hiram, I actually just added some drops to the atomizer and it helped a lot!

Nighthawk, I just tried taking a slower, longer drag and I got a great result! I'll have to remember to do that, as well as maybe longer pauses between puffs.

I agree there is definitely a learning curve to all of this, but I feel better already and I'm only 2 days analog free! The menthol is starting to get on my nerves (I can't believe I'm saying that!!) and I'm about to order some new flavors.

Anyone have personal experience on catomizer vs. atomizer for flavor? So far my atomizer seems kind of weak in the flavor department but again, I only have one flavor. :p
