Hello... first post, long time reader

Hi everyone. I've been lurking these forums since I first tried vaping a couple years ago. I wouldn't have had any success then or now if it wasn't for all of the great information on here. My fiance and I are now both using the bolt and vivi novas, and have been enjoying them for the last two weeks. Here's to one of of the most useful forums on the interwebs !

I'm facing some indecision, trying to choose between the ego 18650 mod and the bolt. I'm leaning towards the ego but I read really good things about the Bolt. How are you finding the Bolt?

The bolt is well built, for a minimal mod. No electronic protection or VV, but otherwise it is perfect. I have the plastic rubberized version. For the price it is definitely worth it.

meli, if you are still up in the air on this, I can definitely say the plastic bolt has its weaknesses. It is great for the price, but if you plan on rouging it up, you might want to look elsewhere, or buy two. The 510 connector is a weak point that will twist out of the plastic if tanks/etc are tightened too hard, or lateral force is put on it too hard. The internals that keep the connector from spinning is just one little plastic ridge that will bend enough for it to spin, and once it does that the solder junctions break and it's done for. If you do buy one, just don't tighten anything down onto it very tightly, and try not to put any force side to side on the tank or cart.
